“Perfect, whatever the weather”
Reviewed 6 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

If we could give Ardmore more than 5 stars we would. Our second stay here, and it really is the most comfortable, clean and well equipped holiday “cottage” we’ve stayed in. Ian’s warm welcome (and generous welcome pack) is greatly appreciated and he and Anne have clearly worked hard to ensure that everything visitors could want has been taken care of. Ardmore is bright and spacious with efficient wifi, oh-so-comfortable beds and luxurious roll-top bath. We even stayed in for the two days that the rain was relentless and didn’t mind at all - because there's plenty of comfortable space to spread out and read, and a big enough communal area to play word/board games too. The warm evening on the patio watching the Sun go down behind Beinn na Caillich was wonderful. Broadford is a perfect location for exploring Skye in all directions, and has plenty of shops and restaurants close by.

“great location to explore Skye”
Reviewed 2 June 2015 for a stay in April 2015

On arrival met the owner Ian who was really helpful about the cottage and places to visit/eat etc ( his recommendation of Red Skye was put to excellent use).
The location is peaceful with views to see and the mountains but handy for food shopping at the large Coop in Broadford.
The cottage itself was very spacious and clean. There is outside seating for when the weather is fine and a BBQ which we didn't use as although we were lucky with the weather.
Sky TV and wifi is a bonus.
The only thing we could come up with as liking least was the size of the bath towels - which although very plentiful they are a bit on the small size.

“Most excellent!”
Reviewed 28 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

My wife and I stayed for a week at Ardmore from 16th May 2015. We love returning to Skye every two to three years and it is very true what they say that once you have been you keep coming back, it is a truly magical place.
Ardmore Cottage is also in that category and one cannot find fault with it at all. I was impressed that Ian (the owner) took the time out to take us to the cottage and explain in detail all the workings of his lovely cottage. He was obviously very proud of what he had achieved at Ardmore and quite rightly so. It is in a beautiful position with gorgeous views 360 degrees, the walk up the little lane which we only discovered on our last day is well worth the effort. The standards of cleanliness are second to none and there is everything that you need for your stay. Another advantage is having the Claymore restaurant within a two minute walk (you must pay Kim a visit) and all the facilities that you need such as the Co-op and petrol station only a few minutes drive away.
All in all a lovely holiday cottage maintained to a 5 star standard in a fantastic setting! I mean what more do you want!

Robert
