The people, the house and the location are excellent but what makes this place really special is the breakfast. The selection of regional products and the freshly home made toast bread were amazing. The room was spotlessly clean and reasonably accessible by wheelchair. The hosts, Kev and Janey, the kids and the cats could not be more welcoming and helpful. This place is a wonderful base for touring the island.

We stayed at Morar for four nights as part of our 'round Scotland ' trip. Kev and Janey were very welcoming. The dogs were also made welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and had a massive comfy bed. I liked the extra touches, real coffee in the room with a cafetiere. A selection of tea bags and biscuits! Breakfast is a real treat, home made bread, muesli, fruit compote, Jam and veggie sausages! Free range eggs from their own chickens. Stunning guest lounge and views from the terrace with a path leading down to the shore. You can wander down to look at the view, watch the otters and the oystercatchers, possibly accompanied by a chicken or two. Ample parking. All in all a great place to stay and very handy for the ferry.

Really excellent food including fantastic porridge, the best I have had in all our almost three weeks in Scotland, also fresh baked gluten free bread which was very welcome. The dog was welcome which was great, the room was very clean and comfortable, the owners were very welcoming. A lovely place to stay.

We decided on a last minute road trip , and were lucky enough to get a vacancy at Morar bed and breakfast ! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home by Kev and Janey ! The place was gorgeous and the rooms were spacious and very well decorated to high quality and taste !
We were informed about the local area on where to eat and have a tipple also where to visit as a point of interest . The lounge was gorgeous but the view on the patio is to die for which was also a sun trap !
The breakfast was superb with nothing to much , tea and coffee was plentiful (which is great for the early morning rise to go sight seeing ) with a great breakfast setting you up . Wifi was fantastic with a great speed and no cutting out as sometimes can be expected from some B and B's .
There was also disabled rooms which we were informed by from other guests which is fantastic ! And quite hard to come by as told by other guests . Leaflets and maps and informative pamphlets were plentiful in the reception area also giving out information of local sights !
We didn't get to use the leisure facilities as the sea air knocked us out lol , but sure we will next on our return . We would be silly not to return !
This place is truly a hidden gem ! Outstanding ! A great base for your trip / holiday !
OUTSTANDING GEM OF A PLACE !!

We were fortunate enough to stay in five star hotels most of our trip (Gleneagles Hotel, Kinloch Hotel, The Torridon), but due to last minute booking, we needed to fill in a night on Skye and were lucky enough to find availability at the Morar B&B. In truth, we found Ardvasar to be off the beaten path and without any real nearby town or point of interest. Driving past a trailer home before pulling in to the Morar B&B (an unpretentious family one-story home) was mildly concerning. But soon, our concerns melted away. Rooms were immaculate and as comfortable as any 5-star hotel. Down quilts, luxurious pillows, high quality towels. The living/dining room area has been redone in bright sytlish colors, and all bedrooms are newly refurbished also with beautiful wallpapers, and comfortable beds. Our bedroom had an en suite shower. What made the Morar stand out for us, however, was the graciousness of the hosts. Kevin and Janey are intelligent, hard-working, and attentive. Breakfast was delicious - fresh eggs from their chickens, homemade marmalade "made from Seville oranges, as all good marmalades are", says Kevin. The hosts are discerning, and this shows in all details throughout the house. We walked down to their beach which is not to be missed, particularly if you have children. Our 8 and 10 year old climbed around for an hour, found shells and sea creatures, even an Oystercatcher nest of eggs! I'm confident our stay at Morar will be our children's favorite part of the trip.

Thank you for your perceptive review, and glad we measure up to such august company as the 5 star hotels in the area! Moreover we're delighted that your children so enjoyed themselves around the croft and on the shore. We usually find when our younger guests are happy, then everyone else is too!
