“A fantastic place to stay!”
Reviewed 31 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Arrived around 1.30 to a lovely welcome from Kenneth and his wife Isobel. The 'cottage' was superb and everything that we needed was on hand. After an exchange and update from our hosts we were left to our own devices which was great as both Kenneth and his wife Isobel had thought of everything so no need to bother them at all. The beach and amenities were a short walk away and all areas accessible either by car or by walking. The house was very comfortable and I'd highly recommend this to anyone wishing to visit Stornoway or indeed use it as a base to go further a field in Harris etc.

We will be back!

“Home from home”
Reviewed 2 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Lovely cottage. Well equipped with quality fittings, electrical goods and such a treat to get good quality comfortable mattresses. Ken and Isobel were very welcoming and obviously take very good care of their cottage. Isobel was always very quick to reply to my emails.

The postcode for the cottage gets you close but not close enough so you want to turn off the main road into Ivorhill then take the first right which is signposted An Arigh. The cottage was perfect for the two dogs we had with us and our favourite beach was Tolsta beach.

We wouldn't hesitate to return to this cottage.

“Well kitted out, good value”
Reviewed 1 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Liked this accommodation. Spotlessly clean. Dog friendly. Nice hosts. Host had given a lot of thought to guest experience and the quality of items in the property were high quality including towels, beds and bedding. Nice touches of flowers and ice cubes in the freezer.
The host retains control of the heating thermostat. We had the temperature increased but I would have liked to have had control over this during our stay. Also, I would have liked a dishwasher and would have been willing to pay more for the let were this included.

Thanks you for taking the time to review the property. We are pleased you enjoyed your time with us. We also note that you had issues with the heating thermostat. Individual room temperatures are set and controlled by a multi functional controller with password protection. We do appreciate that guest requirements vary and we try our very best to ensure that they have a good experience and their demands are met.

Thanks for taking the time to review the property. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to hosting you again at a latter time. I totally agree with your statement that Lewis and Harris land and sea-scapes are something to be appreciated along with all the bird life.

“Wonderful place to stay”
Reviewed 18 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Booking from start to finish was simple and efficient with all arrangements clearly communicated.
The house (a bungalow with parking space and small back garden) is in a good, quiet location quite close to town, handy for the supermarket and ideally suited for exploring.
The accommodation is spotlessly clean and extremely well appointed and furnished with quality fittings and furnishings.
The dining kitchen contains a top class oven/hob and literally everything elsevyounwould need. I enjoyed preparing our evening meals which we ate in the dining part of the good-sized living room. A fantastic big TV, a hi fi with iPod dock, a great collection of books, DVDs and games and excellent wifi all kept us busy and happy in the evenings.
There is so much to see and do on the island that we will be back and would definitely hope to return to this immaculate, comfortable accommodation.
Our hosts Ken and Isobel were friendly and helpful.
A delightful stay.
