“Fabulous!”
Reviewed 14 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

I booked the Heather hut for two nights at the beginning of August. The hut was absolutely gorgeous, well fitted out with top quality products both for personal care and dish washing/cleaning. It had everything we needed and more (including books on the island and bird identification and binoculars!). Our neighbours were a small flock of local sheep and the field behind us was home to the croft's alpaca herd (the duvets are alpaca!). There is a lovely decked area to sit outside, which we did on our first night whilst we drank the bottle of wine included in our very generous "glamper's hamper. We really wished we could've had a couple of additional nights as we loved our little Eco hut so much.

“Luxury in a cosy cabin on the shores of the Atlantic”

Staying in one of the Hebridean huts is a unique way to experience the Isle of Lewis and Harris. They are are small but perfectly formed with a luxurious bathroom and they have everything you need. Location is great as a base to explore the Island . They are about a 40-45 min drive from Stornoway. We hired the barbeque hut for a night - again a fun and unique experience. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!!

“Perfect escape!”
Reviewed 17 July 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A great holiday rental with lots of added extras and the feeling of a crisp and modern boutique hotel. Our hut was exceptionally clean, cosy and comfortable. Everything was finished to a high standard and really well thought out in terms of facilities. Things like Wifi and hot water worked well. Towels were so soft and smelt amazing! We stayed for 3 nights but could happily stay for up to a week and use as a base for both Harris and Lewis. Despite poor weather, it was still a great stay and location ( nice to watch the waves from the warmth and comfort within the hut). Made use of the BBQ hut which again was very well set up and really enjoyable experience. Ensure to stock up in Stornaway before however as we made a trip back specificallly for more supplies thinking we would have found fish/meat nearby.
Truly wonderful and unique accommodation at good value. I can confidently say it will not disappoint!

“Perfect place to totally chill out and relax”

We absolutely loved this place from the moment we saw the pictures on TripAdvisor to seeing it for the first time and it lived up to our expectations and more. There are the most wonderful views of the Atlantic from the comfy beds, fluffy towels and luxury toiletries in the shower room, very well thought out and equipped kitchen area and the welcome hamper was just the icing on the cake. We loved our 3 night stay in Heather Hut and would never tire of that amazing view and tranquil surroundings.

The Butt of Lewis is an amazing place, the beach at Ness, Callanish Standing Stones, lovely food from 40 North (just select and take away) or The Digby Chick in Stornoway (don't forget to book). Loved the alpacas and the Hebridean sheep. Especially loved Heather Hut and the finishing touches that made everything so special.

“If you want a real treat this is the best place to stay on Lewis...”
Reviewed 18 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The word 'glamping' does not do justice to how nice our hut was. They are kitted out to the top spec and are incredibly cozy. They have made great use of the space, it was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location of course is stunning, one of the best views from bed I have ever had, a great spot for the sunset too. Most places on the island can be reached fairly easily, Callanish was about a 25 minute in drive away.
We really liked the little touches like the complimentary hamper, the reference books and the binoculars. Having been mostly camping up until this point on our trip the amenities like the fridge and power shower were a real blessing. For food go to the nearby 40 North and also make use of the BBQ hut (stock up in Stornaway). We were made very welcome by Iain and Anne and even bought some wool from their Alpacas.
