Not licensed and only takes cash. The food (the middle eastern range) was adequate and everything seemed clean. But not really tasty and kitchen roll as a napkin summed it up really. Might have been better on buffet nights.

Looking for a quick evening meal I stumbled across Checheks. I’d read the reviews and decided to give it a go. The decor was a tad quirky however the owner was friendly and attentive. I had the Chicken kebab on a bed of saffron rice with was well cooked and tasty. Worth giving a try.

We'd spotted this restaurant a few days previous, mainly because of the all you can eat buffet, ( we're not glutons, but we have 3 children who eat LOADS).
We arrived for an early evening feast, and were met by our very attentive host. The restaurant is very comfortable and homely, a little dated, but charming. Having looked through the menu, we decided to have 3 rounds of the cheeseburger and fries for the kids, and we had mezzeh with an Iranian inspired fried Aubergine main and a Persian Lamb and chickpea stew. The stew was very tasty, wholesome fair, clean flavours with plenty of tender lamb. The aubergine was delicious, served with a beautiful yogurt dressing, sumac and a hand main flat bread.
We really enjoyed our visit. The food was clearly cooked with great care, and knowledge, and whilst the presentation wasn't Michelin starred, neither was the bill (£47 for 5).
I would recommend if you are interested in middle eastern inspired food, as I think this is where they excel. There also looks to be a very good selection of vegetarian options (I'm not vegetarian, so it's not what I first look for).

We came on a busy Tuesday night, and enjoyed the buffet. The buffet is a series of dishes that just keep coming to your table. Rustic pizzas, chips, delicious salad bowls, pastas and your choice of kebabs. Could not fault the place. The owner was rushing around as he was short staffed but he did a fantastic job. We were very happy and we would highly recommend. Thank you.

When we arrived, I thought I’d walked into someone’s living room! We were met by the friendly owner and sat down, we were the only ones in but the place filled up within about 20 mins, the poor fella had been let down by his waitress so he was all hands on deck waiting tables and cooking for a full restaurant (not all heroes wear capes) despite all this the food came out quickly and was delicious, we had the buffet and our 4 year old had a baked potato, cheese and bean which she cleared. The buffet is cooked fresh and he makes it to order, which i was sceptical about but it actually worked really well, highly recommend his pizzas. Good food reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit
