The cottage was very clean and comfortable in a great location! Well equipped with TV; video player; radio/iPhone player; microwave; dishwasher. Need any help just go next door to the Art Gallery.
Can walk along the beach for an evening stroll. Excellent cafes & restaurants nearby e.g Macrie Bay Café; Drift Inn; Rock Pool Cafe
Beautiful island for views and walks - lots of places of interest. Glenoashdale Falls; Kildonan (seals); Brodick Castle; Sannox Glen; Distillery. Interesting & varied wildlife
Short crossing.from Androssan.

On arrival we received a very warm welcome to the start of a lovely peaceful break in the beautiful village of Whiting Bay Arran. The Cottage was immaculate and very tastefully decorated with lovely paintings throughout by Nick Giles who is in fact the owner. Crockery utensils and towels were of a very high standard and the bedding was second to none. Across the road is a very nice little restaurant called Coast were we had breakfast on the rear garden overlooking the Bay, the sun shone for us the week we were there and it was bliss. Public transport is excellent if you want to go out and about and leave the car.

We have visited Arran many times but we can honestly say that this stay was perfect and we would have no hesitation in booking this Cottage in the future. Finally thank you very much for the very tasty welcome basket.

“Delightful cottage but little day light so need electric lighting at all times”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

It is a lovely cottage but as the weather was often very wet we spent more time than hoped inside and found that there was little day light. To need the electric lights on all day is a bit depressing in summer and that is why we would not recommend this cottage to friends. However in dry weather or if you plan to be out all day it would be fine.

It was a shame that you experienced wet weather during your stay. It was lovely here last week and next week looks good too. If only we could guarantee sunshine for all our visitors!
