We spent a long weekend in Bank House (3 nights) and we had a large party of 12. This is a great house, with plenty space for us all and lots of nice character. It was February and despite the heating being on, it was still a bit chilly so make sure you have warm jumpers if you go at this time of the year. This didn’t stop us having a great time and everyone enjoyed it. The younger members of the group had a good old climb up Falkland Hill (nearby) whilst others meandered around the village and had coffee and cakes. Train or bus to Edinburgh not far and St Andrews less than hour as well. Numerous take-aways close by if you don’t fancy cooking as well. We would go back to this house.
I cannot say enough about how wonderful this house is. It is so charming and spacious. There were 6 of us (3 couples) and everything was great. It was very nicely located for all the places we wanted to visit in Fife.
The house was very clean and the owner greeted us with a lovely gift basket and instructions.
However, since the owner never refunded our 400 pound deposit, I cannot recommend staying here.
Stayed here with a group of 11 friends to celebrate a 40th birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is wonderful, very spacious and has everything you need. The beds were comfortable and the house was beautifully furnished. The dining room in particular was fantastic! Highly recommend.
This house is fabulous. It is extremely well equipped both in the kitchen and in the sitting room for entertainment. There was enough room for us to sit comfortably both at dinner and in the lounge. The bedrooms are gorgeous and the most comfy holiday beds we've ever slept in! It is well positioned to visit Fife, Edinburgh and Glasgow. My children said it's their favourite ever holiday house maninky due to endless hide and seek opportunities!
