I arrived at the hotel for an informal business meeting for which the hotel had agreed for us to use the lounge area. Working for a large organisation I expected to be greeted with a run down of available facilities for which they could promote their conference facilities for further business. Instead there was no explanation around Internet use there wasn't adequate telephone reception and refreshments were not offered and had to be requested. Due to the lack of telephone reception I asked the manager if there was a telephone that I could use for a conference call he said that there wasn't and therefore I had to stand outside in the car park to get a signal.

There was a complete lack of business insight and you certainly should not have to chase staff when you are purchasing their facilities. Through positive promotion they could have secured further business but instead I would highly advise people to look elsewhere.

How very sad and somewhat frustrated we are to receive this review for it is so misleading and not telling the full story or truth which is very harming to our business and simply not fair.
This lady had not booked one of our twelve conference rooms and not that it makes any difference, non of us are aware of anyone asking if they could have an informal meeting in our lounge. However this does often happen and is quite acceptable when we are not so busy.
On arrival the lady said that she was here to meet someone for an informal meeting and was shown the lounge, at that time the other person had not arrived. Within minutes of being here she came to the front desk to ask for assistance with her laptop which she was given immediately (not mentioned in the review) Unfortunately there was something wrong with the computer and we too could not get her on line. The lady tried to call someone for assistance using her mobile but could not get a signal, she was offered to use one of the telephone at the front desk (not mentioned in her review) and she made a call (free of charge) (not mentioned in her review) to someone for assistance.
Would you expect to be able to make a conference call within a hotel lounge?
Would you expect to be offered the use of a land line to make a free call?
During the meeting the lady and gentlemen were served refreshments and bar snacks in the comfort or our lounge whilst using our internet which is free of charge.

How can this lady write a review headed "lack of customer service"? The only thing we could have done further would to have given her a complimentary conference room to make a conference call..........she was informed that she could make conference calls from the conference rooms but did not take this option.
The hotel boasts 12 conference rooms accommodating 2 - 200 delegates. FREE Wi-fi, FREE use of our In-house AV Equipment and ample FREE car parking. Needless to say a competitive rate is charged to hire our conference rooms and we are also pleased to offer fully inclusive delegate packages to include catering, hotel accommodation and use of the Leisure Club & Spa. Oh...and great customer service!!

My wife and I stayed at the Springfield Hotel on the weekend of 9.1.2016, we had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel was well run with staff that could not do enough for us.
Our room was clean comfortable and met all our needs. The menu offered a wide range of choices most of which suited our taste. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this hotel on Thursday the 7th with my wife on arrive the hotel looked lovely the staff were very pleasant and very helpful we arrived about 5:00pm after unpacking we went to the downstairs bar for a couple of drinks while we waited for the restaurant to open the bar man was very chatty in a pleasant way he was interested how are days went just good customer service the restaurant was nice but a tad dated I ordered the mushroom soup for starter and the chicken as a main the food was fantastic cannot complain my wifi was even happy for once the hotel is currently being upgraded and cannot wait for the finishing touches I recommend this hotel to anyone

My partner and I stayed in this 'hotel' for 1 night in December in a ''deluxe room' - we only live 20 minutes down the road but thought it would be a treat as we were attending a wedding near by - we should have saved the £100 and gone home!

1) no hot water at all - we were advised that this was "due to everybody waking up at the same time" (?!) and we were not permitted to use any other rooms facilities.
2) unable to access rooms at midnight (despite being assured we could), no night porter or duty manager and keys are kept locked behind reception. Only alternative was to sleep on bar floor or gain entry to the locked reception area ourselves.
3) The place was a total building site - building work in progress thoughout, dated, unclean and uncomfortable.
4) no manager on duty for 2 weeks, advised by reception staff to email manager regarding my complaint - mailbox full - resent and no response received. Telephoned and advised he would call me back - no call back. Further email sent, still no response to date.

This is barely a 2* hotel and the fact that the manager has been so rude as not to return any of my correspondence speaks volumes (i question if he even exists!) Do NOT stay here.

We stayed here on 20th and 21st December as guests of a wedding taking place at Lulworth Castle. From the word go, things seemed not right .... carpets threadbare, no Christmas decorations to speak of, radiators in room cold and unable to adjust thermostatic valve (therefore we assumed they had been "fixed" so they wouldn't get hot), no toiletries apart from shower gel. Upon visiting the bar, a gin and tonic was served without lemon. This was in the main bar, but the same experierience in the ground floor bar the following day. A request for toast at breakfast was met with a grunt and reluctantly brought. Probably the worst experience was upon returning to the hotel at 11.00 p.m. on 21st, we were locked out of our room along with several other guests and the night porter's phone rang out for at least 30 minutes with no response at all. One brave sole climbed the reception counter and squeezed through the barrier to retrieve the keys for all the guests. This hotel obviously needs a serious amount of money spending on it to bring it up to scratch and to qualify the exhorbitant nightly rate. We would never stay here again so please be warned!
