Stayed here for a week in August. Portland is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle but still has plenty to offer anyone who prefers a quieter holiday with great coastline walks and good places to eat, many of which come with great views. Great communications from the owners who also provided lots of useful information about the area. Nice touch leaving some goodies for us to find in the fridge on our arrival. Very comfortable furniture and bed (including garden furniture). Fully equipped kitchen. The only reason I have not given 5 out of 5 is simply due to the construction of the lounge/bedroom area - which (as is clearly shown in the photographs) is a conservatory - the potential negatives being that if the sun is shining it gets unbearably hot during the day and if it rains hard during the night the noise of the rain hitting the roof can make sleeping difficult. We had both of these weathers during our stay. To be fair there is an air conditioning unit and the room does cool down quickly once the sun goes down. It would not put me off returning to Portland Hideaway - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
