The cottage was in a lovely village and it was a nice location next to the Church. Generally the cottage was well furnished but we did have some issues. There is very limited parking which made it inconvenient on arrival and departure. We booked for 3 people but there was no bed linen left for the sofa bed downstairs. We phoned and left a message but the owner did not get back to us until late into the night. Fortunately, we searched around in some cupboards and found some linen. The smoke alarm was in the kitchen area close to the toaster and went off very loudly every time toast was cooked. There was a shortage of basic kitchen items such as only 3 mugs, but there were other unnecessary items such as avocado dished and ramekins which took up space. The plates etc. were in a fragile glass fronted cupboard it would have been better if these had been more accessible in the main units. The cottage is very small for 3 people.
Lovely town, quiet location but central to everything. Had everything we wanted. Felt very comfortable. Good walks in surrounding countryside but bring your gum boots!
We loved our stay at Dorset Cottage - it was the ideal place for our little family of 3 + dog to stay while we explored Dorset and Devon. Super comfortable and incredibly peaceful, with a beautiful church right next door. Nick, the owner, was nearby for any help we needed and Beaminster was magical. All in all the perfect getaway.
Loved the character cottage . So quiet, great not to hear traffic noise as a standard part of life.
Very Well equipped. Would love to go back.
Thank you for having us.
