My wife and I just had to visit. We weren't sure what to expect but we're pleasantly surprised. After getting the tickets ( if you want to visit the sub tropical gardens and/or the children's farm go for the passport ticket which is a large discount on all three ) we had a nice walk through a field of sheep with a little stream next to the path. Disabled can drive down to a closer car park for convenience. The swannery is clearly signed with information and photos dotted around. We arrived in time for the 12 o clock feed and, as there were no children present, the middle aged kids got to feed the swans which involved throwing scoop fulls of corn into the water which was enjoyable and a massive bonus. The swans were just starting to build and sit on their nests. There are plenty of other birds and wildfowl to see in a large diverse area.
The bouncing bomb was another unexpected bonus and it seems so out of place in such a serene area.
There is a cafe on site but can't comment as we didn't use it and parking is free.

Very interesting and informative, not only about sand but also reed growing and harvesting and the history of the area. Can easily spend time watching the swans... Making nests at the time of our visit. Narrow road in so could be tricky in motorhome during the busy season.

Lovely little swannery, off the hustle and bustle of Weymouth town! Plenty of swans to also look at. Loved it!

We were a bit delayed in getting there so arrived just before last admission.
No reduction for a short visit, no OAP reduction. £25 for two people is way too much, by the time we had tottered down the longish way from the entrance to the swans it was almost time to start back!
The chaps who had just finished feeding the swans were friendly enough the receptionist less so.
