What a glorious find! Yes, it might be a bit of squeeze in the bathroom, but everything else more than makes up for it. Every home comfort you could wish for and more. with a view onto the river that kept us occupied for hours. Can recommend the Clipper for breakfast, why get a delivery when you can sit in their sunshine and they then wash the pots - bliss. Shaldon is beautiful. Take the ferry to Teignmouth only £1.50 each way and see Shaldon from a different angle. Plenty of good places to eat and drink. We shall return.

Arranged for me as a surprise early birthday treat by my wife, I was amazed at the unique nature of this accommodation. A 1 night getaway from Portsmouth. Talk about 'location' - right on the beach, right next door to the Clipper Café, just a few seconds stroll to the Ferryboat Inn (for great local ales and incredible fresh fish). Impeccably presented, crisply clean, the ingenious design of this hut (calling it a 'hut' does it an injustice!) was outrageous. Clear, concise information pack provided, and a TV/DVD combo for those that desire. Sitting 'out back' on the veranda with a cold drink, watching the world drift by was lovely. Falling asleep to the sound of the sea was a treat for this old Navy man. True, the shower/ toilet compartment was a tad small, but, relatively speaking, more than adequate. If I could suggest one thing, was please extend the check out time to maybe midday. This tiny quibble notwithstanding, highly recommended, and I would return in a heartbeat.

We stayed at beach hut 1 for a short break and were very happy with our stay.
The location and views were brilliant as was the hut itself the only slight down side that even though we expected it to be small it was in places a inconvenience (mainly the bathroom) but in the end it couldn't overwhelm the charm of the place.
The village of Shaldon was so picturesque and relaxed with lots of nice pubs and restaurants especially the clipper cafe which is literally next door to the huts!
All in all very happy and would highly recommend
Stayed in beach hut 1 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. fantastic views and position on the beach easy access and next to the cafe to pop in and collect drinks etc. If you don't like close proximity to other people this is not for you although they have been constructed to create a little private space
The hut is well stocked and clean with everything in its place as it is a beach hut albeit a very upmarket one.
You cannot help but admire the view and enjoying a glass of champagne on the patio it was perfect.
The only slight downside was that the sleeping area got very hot however that could have been our fault as we only discovered the window opener in the cupboard the next day! Should have read the book....
ode restaurant was excellent an easy walk from the hut. A great way to spend an anniversary.
Me and my partner just wanted a little night away by the sea and this was just perfect, we lay in bed and could hear the sea and woke up to a beautiful view and even better we popped next door for breakfast. I didn't want to leave i would highly recommend a stay we decently want to stay again.
