We arrived to the dramatic view from the front of the cottage looking out across the raging sea and couldn't wait to get inside to light the open fire and watch the sun set.
We were greeted by Carol who welcomed us very warmly and told us about local amenities etc.
We found some lovely walks just across the road but if you want a beach there are numerous ones within a short drive.
When we stayed it was very cold out and it did take a few hours to get the cottage warm but once it was it was lovely to sit with a roaring fire looking out across the sea.
Morthoe seemed closed for the winter with only the 2 pubs open but there are plenty of other shops etc open nearby.
Thank you for the great stay at Ada's Terrace. The house was perfect and a lovely welcome from very nice Carol.Everything you could need. Thoroughly recommend staying here. Great walks and views and a lovely village with all amenities, even a yoga class !. Many thanks
We have stayed here three times and every time it has been fantastic.
It is a delight when Carol meets you before you even get out of the car and always with a pleasing chat.
As ever the cottage is warm and clean and the beds very comfortable.
A well equipped kitchen.
Our dog loves the beach down the road, it is fantastic for the dogs to have a long run.
Opposite is the national park only you have to be mindful of the sheep.
The garden is secure, no need to worry about your dog.
Will definitely be returning.
We booked a very last minute 3 day break. Colin was very quick to reply and kept brilliant communication throughout.
We arrived to an amazing setting, the views and the area were breathtaking. Carol (no1) met us and gave us the key to the house. She was lovely and had even set a cream tea out for us and a lovely little hand written card, what a lovely touch.
The house is very well presented. Pretty much everything you need is there, only thing missing is a washing machine.
The living room and main bedroom overlook the sea. Huge outside grassed area with picnic area.
The village itself has pretty much everything you need. There is a fantastic homemade takeout called rockleigh, which was delicious! The fish and chips were fantastic too.
Just down the road (a very short drive) is Woolacombe beach. I think this has to be one of the best beaches we've ever been too, only downside was we weren't able to take our dog on the beach. However, Saunton Sands, just 6 miles down which allows dogs and is really well catered for.
We will definitely be visiting again!!!
Really good location, close to village pubs and walks over morte point...within walking distance of woolacombe also
