“Perfect really!”

We had a great stay at the Barn. The location is difficult to beat, surrounded by rolling Devon hills and not far from some of the best South Devon Beaches.
You can walk to Beesands and it's not long in the car to get to sandy beaches like East Portlemouth and (further West) Bigbury and Bantham.
The owners were fantastic showing us around the farm and giving a warm welcome. The boys loved feeding the pigs and collecting eggs.
Once settled in the Barn has a brilliant sun soaked private garden and there's also a big field, with great views, which is perfect for the kids to play ball games, and
great for star gazing later on.
The Barn is very well equiped with everything you need. We can't really think of a single thing to fault it and we had a really relaxing time.
We like to try different places but this might be one of those very rare places that needs a return visit. We'd highly recommend the Barn for a family holiday.

A beautiful well equipped home-from-home that meant we could come on holiday with our dog and enjoy the amazing scenery and walks in the area. I would definitely come back again and would recommend to anyone. The food hamper for when you arrive was a lovely touch as was being able to collect your own eggs from the hens every day.

Liked best: That it was a modern well equipped place to stay with loads of character.
Liked least: Wifi access was limited to only some of the house but we spoke to the owners and they are sorting that out for future guests.

The barn is a fantastic place if you are planning to visit this area, and even better if you have young kids. Our girls loved the horses, pigs & piglets, chickens and of course Jake the dog! We collected our own fresh eggs most days off the farm and highly recommend Piers's rare breed pork sausages and bacon! Talking of Piers and Sue they were great hosts and we will be back!

“Stunning”

We stayed for a week 19th April - 26th April. Wow! what a place! The Barn itself is simply stunning, you have your own private garden which atrracts butterlfies and is perfect for your pooch to have a nose in. Cottagey from the outside but modern & high spec finish on the inside (complete with underfloor heating) The Farm its situated on is simply wonderful; friendly horses and hens where you can collect your own fresh eggs from! Piers & Sue were wonderful hosts and there to answer any queries you have and recommend places to visit. You can even buy sausages & bacon from Piers and wow! the bacon is simply the best you will ever eat! My partner misses it already!
Lots of things to do near by also, great walks to the local villages and only short car journeys to lovely beaches.
This is a dogs paradise, if your thinking of taking your pooch I cant recommend it enough. Ths dog that lives on the farm, Jack, made great friends with our dog Otis and Otis missed him instantly! Slough bay and Salcombe are great for dogs and if you take a trip into Kingsbridge itself theres a great place to eat called 'the old bakery' tapas style food and completely dog friendly as is the ice cream palour - scoops.
If you visit Salcombe ther's a bar called the Victoria which even boasts a dog menu! brilliant!
The weather was great for us luckily but on the one day we did have rain the Barn was great to stay in. Warm, cosy and incredibly peaceful. We cant wait to go back and stay again! :)

A lovely spacious dog friendly abode-just right for us three as we took to the coastal paths each day-glorious.
A well equipped kitchen for those prolonged evening meals.
A roaring fire for slumping in front of-a complicated tv that just had to be abandoned-no loss at all!
We hope to return...
