We had a nice ish holiday at devon cliffs this week but was overwhelmed by the amount of mud, our driveway was of poor quality and rain water ran down straight over our entrance to caravan so our children's brand new trainers and pushchair are ruined.

Most of the park has very few walkways so walking on the roads is a must . Our toaster didnt work when we got there but a replacement was brought to us within 45 minutes which was good. Unfortunately between 12:30-5 there isnt any free indoor entertainment other than the pool so if its raining be prepared for boring caravan afternoons. I advise take tablets or board games for your little ones.

On arrival we were shocked to be welcomed by a queue that went to the rear of the amusements i had a 3pm check in so went to ask a member of staff to be told you all have to wait inline so check in times are pointless. I would advice splitting checkin desks depending on what time you have purchased 3pm 4 pm etc.

We have been here a few times over recent years but i fear this was our last time, the park is getting to big for us and i felt everything was designed to make you spend money. Its a business first and last. If you like bingo then you will be in heaven at haven as they really cash in on this but it does seem unusually popular but each to their own. Exmouth is near by so i advise to get of site and enjoy the surroundings as you may feel overwhelmed by the thousand of customers (thats right customers not holiday guests) this is my opinion a dad & mum with 4 children but haven will reply with sarcastic counter argument making me look stupid as thry have done with all the other reviews here. We are off to lady's mile caravan park next . Hope you all enjoy you stay at devon cliffs, take lots of spending money you will need it

Just on our way back from 7 nights at Devon cliffs and what can I say excellent from start to finish. We arrived last Saturday and woke Sunday to nothing but beautiful views in the snow. The van had no water for part of Sunday and Monday, however the team were fantastic coming round checking on us and delivering us bottles of water. Throughout the holiday we heard lots of people complaining, however what part of the weather was havens fault! Snow didn't stop us we was down the beach and building snowman next to the caravan.

Caravan was lovely, clean and I requested a van close by due to being heavily pregnant and they made sure they accommodated which was great.

Entertainment was pure amazing and kept our three year old entertained every night, myself and daddy to. The adventure life are just fantastic and friendly they ensure that they involve all the children and make the effort to talk to the families which is lovely. Special shout out to Lauren, Danny, Luke and Martin (adventure life) who was just the best and our little girl called them her best friends. They provided so much fun.

Very happy with the holiday, sad to be going home but will certainly be returning!!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for such an amazing review; we all take enormous pride in delighting our guests here at Devon Cliffs and it certainly sounds like the we succeeded in your case!

We all remember the snow well but guests and team alike clubbed together to make the most of it, nothing like a bit of Blitz Spirit and you don't get to build a snowman on the beach often!

Looking forward to welcoming you back and hopefully we can order some sunshine for your return visit!

Kind Regards,
Guest Relations

Well, where do I start? Well from the beginning....

It's a nice site. Clean and well presented. On the Monday when we arrived, we were greeted by happy friendly staff. We were happy that we were allowed to check in early and go to the caravan. Great start to the day.

Went to local Tesco for food and drink for the few days and headed back to the site for a early afternoon dinner as we were hungry. That's when the "Fun" started.

Found that the ignition for the oven was broken, so we got the stove on anyway. Called the guest services to say that the ignition was in need of replacement and that we noticed that the knob for the grill was broken.

First they send one engineer to replace the knob who said that the gas engineer would be out later to fix the ignition. Wondered why the gas engineer couldn't just do both jobs? Saves man power for their busy work life's?

We went out that evening thinking that the gas engineer would be in to sort the ignition whilst we were out. The next morning (Tuesday) we realised that he didn't but was able to use the grill. As we got the grill on the heat from it melted two of the knobs for the oven. We called guest services and was informed that the job was still outstanding. So now we had no cooker in a self catering caravan? Wow.

We said that we were going out for the day and said that the engineer could go in to fix. We got back to the stove fixed and proceeded to cook our dinner. After dinner, went to have a shower but what did I get? Cold water!!! The engineer turned off the boiler to fix the oven and forgot to re ignite the boiler. So another call to guest services. I got a guy who was trying to get me to find the fault (I'm no engineer and not been educated in finding faults with boilers) before he logged the report. After a wait, an engineer came and sorted the boiler out.

We got to Wednesday. Lucky Wednesday. The site had up on their app, notice board and entertainment booklet that they had a game show in the same venue after the cash bingo. Guess what? After bingo, was told there was no game show. The only entertainment they had on that evening was the musical performance like they have had on for the past 2 evenings. Not everyone wants to sit down to musical theatre every night. Maybe have some changes in entertainment. I know it's a new act for you but give your paying guests different entertainment.

I've visited you before and we're fantastic and you had some fantastic staff this time but the whole trip was let down by a few staff members.

Dear Guest,

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts following your stay with us although we are all disappointed that the issue in your caravan was not rectified as quickly as you, or indeed we, would have liked. I've made our Maintenance Manager aware of this highly unusual lapse in the service which we offer.

Despite this issue I'm really pleased that you were able to check in early and that you found the staff to be so friendly and efficient as this is the exact level of service which we aim for.

We really hope we'll get to welcome you back soon so as we may fully restore your faith in us.

Best Wishes,
Guest Relations

We visited on a weekend when we had some extremely heavy snowfall. This didn't prevent us from having an enjoyable time though. We would like to thank all staff for their help during our stay and especially for allowing us to stay however long was necessary after our checkout time to wait for conditions to improve so we could drive home safely. We were even offered an extra night free which luckily we didn't need. Excellent service all round. Well done.

Dear Guest,

We all remember the weekend well here at Devon Cliffs, being by the coast it's so unusual to get such snowfall but I'm so pleased to read how well the team handled such an usual situation and particularity that you didn't let the weather spoil your holiday time. How often can you build a snowman on the beach!

Hopefully we'll see you again for a bit of sunshine soon!

Kind Regards,
