The cafe on the Green ticks all the boxes, excellent decor and pleasant staff and the cream tea that we had was faultless .

Had a mid morning cream tea - best scones I’ve ever had! Warm, fresh and delicious served by the usual friendly and welcoming staff towards us and our dog.

We visited just after the recent snowfall, consequently the cafe was not very busy. We were made very welcome and enjoyed a late breakfast/brunch. Lovely food in lovely surroundings at a very reasonable price in my opinion.
It is quite a large establishment and I suspect it would get very busy in the holiday periods

Visiting Widdecombe in the depth of winter we were pleasantly surprised to find the cafe open. Even more delight was found when we went in, the decor was lovely and cosy, with log burners keeping it warm. Plenty of seating in all sorts of nooks and crannies, we felt as though we were taking tea in an upmarket establishment.
Oh yes and the food was lovely. We had a cream tea and there was more than enough cream and jam for the delicious home baked scones. The service was very friendly too.
Thank you
