We visited here on Wednesday night. Lovely staff, amazing food and good value for money. Very very friendly especially considering we have a lively 2 year old. But we were all well catered for.
Superb view from the dining room as well. Can't wait to go back next time we visit Dartmoor only wish we had somewhere like this where we live!

Your "dancing" 2 year old made a lasting impression on our staff! It was a pleasure to serve you. Many thanks for the review and hopefully we will see you again in the not too distant future.

A post Christmas sunday lunch for four. Three roasts and one salad! I was informed by my so called friends that I should have chosen the roast as the pork melted in your mouth and the roast potatoes were to die for!!
My salad was great as well.
A warm, dog friendly, atmosphere typified this true country pub.
Well worth a visit when in South Dartmoor.

Very friendly and very good service. We ate there one evening and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. There was a good atmosphere and our table by the window gave us a stunning view. We also called in one late lunchtime, after a decent walk and apart from an excellent pint we shared a plate of excellent whitebait !

Well worth a visit, great food friendly staff and first class accommodation. All at reasonable prices.
There is a variety of food and specials available on different evenings.
If your looking for a hidden gem then this is the place to go.
A proper country pub in a great location.
