Husband and I went today for a little midweek treat. Had a lovely sandwich and chips which are to die for. Coffee was delicious, the service is always so friendly and warm. Outside area great for little ones having soft surfaces. Shopping inside is such good quality and a lovely choice if you’re gift hunting for something a bit different. A really lovely place, and is always a real pleasure.

Thank Rachel S

A very nice attraction and one which is free. A nice museum for pottery and some interesting choices from the gift shop. There is a chance to watch some glass items being made but the jewel are the wonderful marble machines - couldn't ever describe them, so go and see for yourself and be quite mesmerised

This is a place or interest to all ages (Children Welcome)
The wall Marble Game is amazing could be there for hours, also the smaller game machines downstairs.
The Glass Blowing was worth a visit, amazing what they create.
Enjoyed lunch in the restaurant.

Our bus driver took us to the house of marbles, really loved it, and could have stayed longer, they still have the big chimneys, and inside was marbles of all sizes, but also was 2 floors selling a lot of other things, there was a café but we did not have time for using it as we were to interested in other things ,and the history of the marbles and other things they made in the past, would love to return again.

I used to live in the area and, due to needing a regular fix of Devon air, we come back on family holidays usually around once each year. Every single time we come, my 10 year old asks if we can visit the House of Marbles and, each time we come back, he enjoys it as much as the last time! The marble runs are fascinating for kids and adults to watch and the glass blowing is a wonderful skill on show for people to watch. The shop has some beautiful items, perfect for unusual gifts. We always make time for lunch as the café is consistently good and this time was no exception. The rest of the clan went for burgers, all of which got a firm thumbs up. I went for the veggie curry which was really good, tasty and full of chunky veggies (I am not a fan of watery vegetarian options, which feel like an afterthought).
We keep coming back to the House of Marbles, its such a great option for a family day out and we have never had an 'off day' here, so I am sure we will keep coming back any time we are in the area!
