Not often you can believe everything you find on a property's website, but Beacon House is as good as it looks. Beautifully presented rooms (we've been twice and had two different rooms), great welcome, amazing breakfast. The location is part of the charm: accessible by car and with good off-street parking, and a quick walk to the harbour via flights of steps. Lovely to be able to eat at one of the many restaurants on the quayside, stroll around the harbour then wander back up to the house through the narrow streets. There's plenty to do without using your car: coastal walks from Brixham, or extend your range by taking the number 12 bus (short walk from the house).

Room Tip: All the rooms have views - the website photos give an accurate impression. Bay View has a balcony.

Hi David, thank you very much for your fantastic e mail, it brought a smile to my face as I'm sure some potential clients look at our reviews and do question them, so thank you for confirming that there is no reason "not to believe" . It was great to see you both again hopefully it won't be long before you make it a "hat trick" of visits. Hope the tennis went well for Kate? Take care

We love this place, so relaxing, leave the hustle and bustle behind, this really is the only place we can unwind, Amanda and Nigel are amazing, breakfast is the best, views to die for, parking which is a luxury and not many B&B’s can offer this in Brixham and it is so clean

Thank Scott H

Our second visit and snow was the last thing we expected as the Met Office amber warning excluded Torbay when we checked. However, Amanda and Nigel came through as usual with bags of hospitality. This is quite the most remarkable bed & breakfast we have ever come across and will definitely be staying again. Excellent.

Hi "B & L", I'm pleased to say another "first" for us.............................thank you for finding us "remarkable" , that's quite an accolade :-) Ultimately though it just goes to show that you can't trust the weather man! Hopefully you will carry out your promise to a return visit in the not too distant future, but please, remember the ski boots LOL !!

Whole place is immaculate, views fantastic, food excellent, parking space really useful. Amanda & Nigel really friendly & helpful, especially with the 'moving target' of when we were able to get there because of the snow & stormy weather. We will return for the Full Beacon.

Dave J ..................................the "Full Beacon" awaits you!! LOL
Bottom line is, glad you made the effort, it was a little touch and go with the weather but ultimately you both got your well earned break. Look after those seal pups, hopefully see you again soon.

We have just returned from a long weekend here..... Beacon house is without a doubt the best B&B we have ever stayed in! We have been so well looked after by the hosts! The breakfasts were delicious! The rooms are stunning and the views are outstanding! I need more than 5 stars to rate Beacon House! We can't wait to return!
