Nice location for this Bistro, lovely view to enjoy. Food was pleasant without being special, staff were. Customer friendly and attentive. Would not be at my top of the list for recommendations.

We hadn't been to The Breakwater Bistro for years but, after a visit with a friend, we decided to go again. We have now been several times for lunch and breakfast in the last couple of months and we have never once been disappointed.

The restaurant is always beautifully clean and tidy. All the staff are always so friendly and helpful and the food is fabulous as are the views - rain or shine. What more can you ask for with parking nearby too?

We can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. What started as a place for a treat has become our first choice place to visit.

Five of us ate here on Monday, all having different starters, main courses and desserts. Excellent all round and so we have re booked for Friday. Crab dishes and Paella particularly good but might try steak or gormet burger on return as they also looked great when being served to others. Looking forward to it although Pirates Cove on the Quay was also excellent.

visited for lunch with my mum in a beautiful sunny day. Decided to order a selection of staters to share as they sounded so yummy. Had the Brixham mussels....they were divine...cooked to perfection....fingers bowl, shell bowl and hand wipes all delivered to table with them. Goat cheese tart....unfortunately a little bland. Also smoked mackerel pate which was delicious but a wafer thin serving with a little salad was at 8.50 incredibly over priced, I feel a larger serving or a price adjustment is required.
Also added as bowl of chips which were lovely....everything a chip should be....crispy outside, fluffy inside delicious! Service was very attentive without being annoying.

We heard the fish was good at this place, and had a few drinks on their terrace. We would have come back the following night to eat but heard it was rammed, so didn't bother. Very glad to went along there on-spec the following night, despite it being a short stroll along the side the quay and still looking very busy, as it truly was my most memorable paella ever, albeit a fish only one!
