My aunt won a competition on to stay here so my family visited from Ireland to stay. It was fantastic and cannot be faulted. Extremely clean and everything that we needed was there. It also helped that there was a nice view of Bouley Bay! Would 100% recommend.
There was 4 of us and it was a part working holiday
We arrived at 2pm but as we could not get into the accommodation until 4pm, we lounged around the pool and went to sleep
The apartment (4) was stunning. 2 single beds, 1 double en-suite & bathroom downstairs. The lounge & kitchen upstairs. The balcony views from the lounge & double bedroom was awesome.
The kitchen – washing/dryer machine does a short wash (30-40 mins), but remember as this is a condenser it takes ages to dry, so we tried not to use it and used the clothes airer instead. The fridge was built-in with a small freezer, the cooker was electric and a small dishwasher. The owners gave you some, washing powder, dishwasher tablets, sponge, cloth, t-towel, coffee tea sugar & milk which was a sweet gesture to get you started on your holiday.
The large lounge also had plenty of seating and brochures were left for you to see on what things to do during your stay.
The beds were made upon arrival. Had to unmake the beds when leaving which wasn’t a hassle. The bath and showers are fantastic fast flow of water. They also supply bathroom towels and with the two heated bathroom towel rails - a bonus for drying them.
The apartment also has free Wifi.
They also supplied hoover, clothes airer, ironing board, iron, mop, brush,
The Bus (4) takes you to St Helier for £2 one way and there is a Phone App that gives you live updates on where the bus is.
The two Pools were a little cold for me but that’s a personal choice but in a great picturesque spot.
It’s a uphill 0.8 miles to the paper shop on the costal path, look out for the Witches House in the village, where the chap sells sun flowers or pumpkins depending upon the time of year.
I would unquestionably return again to this totally remarkable location and accommodation, thank you for making it so.
We stayed one week in a chalet at Water's Edge. The accommodation was clean and well prepared for our stay and the staff were very helpful without being at all obtrusive. Boulay Bay is a very beautiful spot and there are some nice walks (not too difficult) leading from the Bay. We ate twice in the Black Dog pub, which was reasonably priced and good quality. We used the chalet as a touring venue for visiting the rest of the island.
Overall, we thought it was somewhere to which we would happily return and we had a very good holiday.
We are a family of four.
