8 of us have just returned home from Angilnook. Its a beautiful tranquil setting overlooking the stunning views of the Irish sea. There is a spacious garden for the kids to play and a lovely decking area for the adults to relax on evenings. We were blessed with the weather and the Morris Castle beach nearby was a great way to bask in the sunshine. Would definitely return.
Had a great week here at angilnook over the new year perfect retreat after a hectic Christmas. Very cold on arrival despite the owner having put the heating on however once the fire was lit for a few hours it was very cosy. Despite the challenging weather we had daily walks on the beach the grandchildren loved it the house was well equipped with everything we needed for a perfect new year retreat. Easy drive to both Wexford and Arklow. Will definitely return in the future
The location of this house is perfect. It's in a very peaceful and private cul de sac. Very large garden brilliant for little ones to play in. The house has a lovely 2 tiered decking and summer house at the foot of the garden, all of which are great for relaxing on and listening to the waves, There's nowhere you can't see the sea from! Beach is only a very short stroll away and is a very long beach great for walks when the tide is out. The house itself has a very big open living room with a nice open fire. The bedrooms are split over 2 floors. The stairs up are a bit steep however we didn't use the 2 bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen is small but functional although could do with a little modernisation if you are cooking your own meals. Albert was great to deal with, had the house warm and ready for us and responded very promptly to any questions I had.
We had a wonderful time at Angilnook. It's set in a beautiful, tranquil location only a few minutes walk from the beach. It has a huge back garden which was perfect for our kids and they loved the little summerhouse down the end of the garden and particularly the wooden bird inside. The house itself has lots of charm and character. It was equipped with everything we needed. The stairs are quite narrow and steep which didn't really effect us as we all slept downstairs. The views from upstairs are wonderful though. It does not have wifi which I am ashamed to say we did miss a little but in reality it probably did us the world of good. Even though we did not meet Albert, he was a great communicator and responded promptly to any queries we had prior to arrival. He even arranged to have a travel cot available for us. We encountered no issues during our stay and would definitely come back again in the future.
This location is one of the most amazing I have even seen. The view is quite overwhelming. We as a family had the quiet down time that we really needed. We will definitely be going back...
