We stayed at Scorrid Cottage for New Year. We had some of the worst stormy weather in the last 20 years, so they say, but we had a wonderful time in this cosy cottage with all its amenities. The log fire was an additional advantage, but we must admit we did run the heating most of the time!
The cottage is in a great location - good for all the "must dos" of the peninsula: Dingle/Inch (via the Connor Pass), for Brandon and for the Blaskets and we thought the nearby Fermoyle Beach a joy (we surf!). We saw dolphins and otters there.
The cottage itself is spacious and has all we needed (kitchen well equipped) and the internet functioned very well (could run Netflix for late evening entertainment).
I would highly recommend it for a family in summer or winter and I hope we will be returning there at some point in the future. Dingle for New Year is amazing.

1 review This is a great place. It is in the northern part of the Dingle Peninsula with much fewer tourists than the south close to the tiny Village of Cloghane with its two pubs and a small shop. It is surrounded by mountains and sea. You can see the local beach, Kilfoyle Strand from the house. It is one of the longest beaches in Ireland and stretches for many miles. Its about 15 minutes drive away. We had three days of hot sunshine and spent them on this fabulous beach. We had Sunday lunch at O'Conners pub in Cloghane about 5 minutes drive away. Food was good but expect to wait at least half an hour as it is cooked to order. The owners Veronica and Michael live a few hundred yards away and could not have been more friendly and helpful. I'm a regular visitor to this area and would fully recommend this place.
