We stayed two nights of a grey weekend. Maurice and Aisling gave us good advice about where to walk and drive. Breakfast was top-notch and even though busy, Aisling chatted with us. I was sorry our room wasn’t on the front with the water view, but it was comfortable and very clean. Great towels! All I would ask for is a luggage rack and some sun!

What a warm and cozy place to find waiting for us on a rainy afternoon. We were met with hot tea and fresh scones which we really enjoyed in the dining area. Parking was convenient and just across the street. We were able to walk a short distance to have dinner in town. Our room was on the third floor in the back and very quiet. So nice!!!

We stayed at Island View for four views and we loved it. The view from the top floor was beautiful, the breakfast was tasty and our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The room itself was nicely sized and pretty, with nice linens etc and super clean. We were so happy to find this place and would love to return, it was all so lovely! Definitely one of our favorite spots this trip. You won’t regret staying here.

Great welcome and very cute place. Our room had a wonderful view of the sea. Special thumbs up for the pristine cleanliness and the bedding was great! The warm welcome with coffee and scone was a nice surprise. The breakfast was awesome! The hosts were extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place if you are stopping in Roundstone. There are beautiful beaches nearby and the town has enough to get by!

A warm, very warm, and helpful welcome and the most brilliant introduction to our Wild Atlantic Way mini world tour!

Maurice is a trully generous great host - thank you for all your recommendations most of which we would not have thought to dig out for ourselves!

So, this B+B what's it all about?

Room
Lovely well sized rooms - we had No. 5 at the top with a nice large bed and a view ......to refresh any weary soul. In fact there was the larger KS double plus a single bed so good space and damn good bath/shower room (no bath - just the shower)
For some with lots of luggage possibly stick to the first floor - but hey - Maurice helped with the bags so unless the stairs are a challenge go for it!

Food
Couldn't stop having the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs frankly but the Full Irish was great plus a broad choice of cold non meat/cereals options including fresh fruit.

Touring
Maurice recommended the Marconi memorial which is great and a trip to Westport and the amazing Sky Road in Clifden and told us loads about the area too - our local encyclopaedia!

There's also a couple of S/Catering cottage options which look brilliant - Hmmm, there's an idea for next time!

Clever Maurice, the only B+B open in Roundstone pre St Paddy's day - nearly full most nights and without Island view in March our trip couldn't have happened!

Back soon we hope - thank you!

Forgot to mention the afternoon coffee and yummy home made scones.... :-)

Room Tip: Room 5 top of the house - view + a large bed - the room next door is smaller with more windows for just as nice a view - All rooms quiet
