Worth the steep walk down from Afionas. Or else take a kayak or paddle boat form Agios Georgios. Path not too difficult to manage and well sign posted.

So beautiful beach, and quiet too (thanks to the mandatory hike). It takes about 20 minutes to hike down to the beach. Remember to take water with you (and towel and swimming suit). Remember also that you need to hike back up too :)

The easiest way to find the path down is to start hiking near Dionysos restaurant. There are plenty of breathtaking views during the hike.

Drove across the island from Kerkyra. Parked in Afionas and clambered down rocky path carefully. Swimming among fish. Take a snorkel and mask and flask of water. Climbing back up was aerobic but easier on the joints than the descent. Felt pride and a sense of achievement for this ‘old’ man despite tiny tots taking it in their stride.

We really enjoyed this beach. Great for snorkelling and the view of the twin beaches on the way down was beautiful.

We encountered a few people on the hike who had not done their research and were attempting the climb in flip flops and had not brought any drinks with them. They were not happy when they discovered that there was no shop or bar in the beach!

I thought my sandals would be up to the job but in the end I changed into my water shoes and found it much easier.

There are no facilities on the beach at all so you must take everything you need with you and be prepared to carry it.

We noticed that a few people had arrived in pedalos from a nearby resort and we were quite envious!

It took us about 20 mins to hike down from the village and I actually found it quicker going back up as I was more confident climbing than I was coming down the uneven and sometimes slippery/dusty path.

Thanks to the recent reviewer for the instructions about driving to the end of the village and turning round before parking. This worked well. We arrived at 10:30am and had no problem finding a space.

We came here with paddleboards from Agios Georgios beach. The seashore was very rocky so bring your swimming shoes! The view is very beautiful
