There are many trails throughout the park for all skill level of hikers. There are a number of camp sites and cabins if you desire to stay overnight or even spend a few days. There is fishing, swimming and boat rentals for those seeking these activities. If you enjoy photography be sure to bring your camera to this serene and scenic setting. Great place to get outdoors and enjoy nature.

Stopped for the kids to swim and fish. Wonderful place with friendly staff and reasonable day rates. Kids enjoyed the park and the surrounding views are breath taking.

Tent camped in white oaks campground for two nights. Overall a great state park. Some sites were much larger than others but all had power and water. Bathroom/shower facilities were five stars in quality and well maintained. Trash bins weren’t full. Volunteer hostess was super friendly and Gabe our kids a scavenger hunt activity that was very entertaining.

The other campground had a convenience store that helped us supply the forgotten essentials. The beach was great! Water was good and sand surprisingly nice. It was too far to walk to the beach/hiking trails/playground so we did have to drive that.

Lastly we hiked about 300 feet into the trail and played in a gorgeous water hole that had a very nice waterfall.

This is a wonderful park in the upstate. We camped and were very pleased. The campgrounds are nice -no complaints. The showers/restrooms were well maintained. The hiking trails were well marked and provide a great walk in nature. Very nice swimming area. The lady at the ranger/visitor center was so nice in getting us set up. The views and scenery are wonderful. Bring a camera- quite stunning. Excellent park in the SC park system.

park seems to hit all the basics.. A beautiful lake with swimming complete with diving boards. Camping areas abound. A lot of hiking trails which go all over the mountain including the top of table rock. The trails are well marked but when they say they are extremely strenuous they mean it! A lot of streams with waterfalls with many families exploring the park. To ensure your safety they require you to sign in at the nature center before you set off on a trail and they ask you to indicate which trail you will be using. Many people have been hurt because of the extremely rugged nature so be careful especially in the wet areas. Very reasonably priced for a day pass. Dogs are allowed on a leash, but they will get a work out hiking up the mountain.
