BEWARE !!!!! from the reservation, check -in, front -desk & LACK of professional Mangers (Nicole ) who *REFUSED* to acknowledge the (below) standards of various issues in their hotel's & maintenance. We, documented the over ( 22 ) issues in #1127 in which we stayed. Just, SAD & Unprofessional- Disrepectful management (NICOLE). She (lies/lied) about the conditions we the consumers wrote in our letter to her. She (NICOLE) refused to speak with us BEFORE we checked out. Nor would : NICOLE give us" ANY/NONE" adjustment to our bill. It, was (my) Birthday, my son, saved to bring us here, it's (our) third year coming to Avista. "UNBELIEVALBLE - SAD." WOW !!!! REALLY. As a result (WE) will NOT!!!! return. " BYE, FELICIA-Nicole." PLEASE, Don't Reply : JAMES your insults aren't require or ANYBODY in management.

I cant begin to know how to respond. I don't ever want anyone this upset but once we found out you were not happy you would not allow anyone up top correct any of the issues. I know they also offered you a discount but we could not provide a free night as we were never allowed to correct anything. We try and go up right away and see if there is an issue with an owners furnishings or if it is something we can do right away to make it better, which I know we tried, and I know the staff also offered to move you but as stated we were not provided the chance to make anything right for you and now it seems you are not happy with the resort.

Just a 2 night stay to visit some college friends. We have stayed at several condo-type resorts on beaches, but this was our first visit to North Myrtle Beach. Compared to our other experiences, it fell short.
Our room needed some updating and paint to cover previous water leaks on walls & ceiling. First night, we returned to have our room smell like cigarette smoke. Apparently a privately-owned unit was next door and had smokers. Turned on HVAC fan overnight and smell disappeared. However, we had a water leak from a bulkhead in the bedroom overnight! Maintenance figured it out then offered a fan to dry it up or we could move units later that day. We decided to stay and had to wait for the fan, which ran about 4 hours that afternoon. Finally dried up the carpet. I asked for compensation for our trouble...got a 10% off, which amounted to $21 off our room + taxes & fees. Wow...underwhlemed!
The TV wouldn't work at check-in. Their IT guy came and got if working...didn't work again the next day. I fixed it since I saw what he did. Most complicated TV setup and operation I've ever used!
Parking is in a garage across the street...it was a torrential rain storm. Be sure to have an umbrella. Upon returning that night, the garage was full except for a few spots on the top floor. This was not in peak season. The garage is super tight on room....narrow spaces and drive with 2 way traffic. The parking for reservation and unloading is also very, very small and tight. Drive a small car!
We were given a pretty hard sell sales pitch for a Wyndham Resort special offer at check-in also. Just $29 for a week's stay within a year, but there would be resort fees to pay. And tickets to a free show while we were here...we had no time for a show on a 2 night stay and they really had a hard time understanding that my answer was a "no".
Will look for someplace else if I ever return to North Myrtle Beach.

We are sorry to hear of the issues you faced and understand any issues can cause frustration. Though we could not control when a leak appeared we have few options but to move you but you wished to stay and accepted our placing fans in the unit to dry the moisture. We certainty know that is not the best solution and would loved to have moved you to a new location so your stay was not impacted. I do know going across the street is not ideal even with us providing golf carts, with rain covers, to make it a little better but we appreciate your not being happy with the situation. Again please accept our apologies.

Was having a good time until i accidentally left a necklace on table and the cleaning lady took it. Even offered money for return. Beware theives. Hope she enjoys it as much as i did. Had it for 35 years. Thanks Avista.

Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, the indoor lazy river, pool and huge hot tub was wonderful. Beautifully appointed rooms. Very spacious. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath oceanfront room on the 14th floor.

Had a great girls trip in the fall. Sun in the days and dinner with shopping at night. Had a great time at north Myrtle Beach music on main eating on the street and enjoying music. Had vehicle unloaded and delivered to room. Felt pampered.
