This beautiful hotel Sits just off the beach in Hilton head, South Carolina. It Has very nice rooms, the higher up you can be the better. The lobby is dressed in marble with a very nice, well dressed lady to greet you at the front door and to answer any questions you have about anything!. The check in process was easy and occurred In less than 5 minutes. The back of the lobby goes into several restaurants one of them is At the end With open décor and helpful wait staff. They gave suggestions if you wanted them. The fish was delicious and Any appetizers were as well .
The pool was the center of the activity, Located behind the main hotel but on all sides of the pool were things to do. There was a walk up bar , another Area with Adult only hammocks and even a place for a private party or a wedding. Furthermore there were multiple staff available to bring you drinks if You desired.
The conference room was huge very nicely done and well worth attending a conference there and the food brought to the buffett was excellent.
The bike trails at the front of the hotel traveled for miles all over Hilton Head Island and is probably one of the main family events.
And of course the golf as there are 22 courses on the island!Every one of them beautiful. Restaurants galore, but please Go find some of the fabulous fish restaurants with dishes fresh from the ocean!
One has to drive 1 hour from the Savannah airport to get there but it is all beautiful tall oak trees, slews, lakes, beautiful grass, grasslands, wetlands and beautiful country you barely even notice your drive.
With so many options on Hilton Head Island this is one of the top ones And I highly recommend it!

Had a great weekend visit. Concierge folks were very friendly as well as front desk staff. We had room overlooking the ocean. Nice and clean. Pool area was fun. Enjoyed renting bikes and riding all around. Had a issue with our toilet in our room. They were quick to find a solution. Yes resort needs an update but we had a great time!

My husband and I had a good experience at this hotel. It does need to be updated and the decor is neutral and dreary. However, the staff is friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The ocean front room had a beautiful view of the pool and Atlantic Ocean. The food and drinks are too expensive for the quality, but that is to be expected. September was a month that is not busy, so we had our choice of pool chairs and beach spots. It was a very relaxing vacation. We would definitely come back to this hotel!

While visiting Hilton Head this past week, I had the pleasure of joining some friends at the Marriott Resort and Spa in Palmetto Dunes for dinner. The “cafe” was very trendy, bright, and modern with beautiful ocean views. We were seated promptly and received graciously by our server. Our meal was fabulous and the service was exceptional! We started off with the chefs featured spicy tuna roll which was as good as any high end sushi establishment. We followed that with the seared cobia and seafood risotto accompanied with broccolini and finished with a black garlic butter. The risotto was cooked to perfection, loaded with seafood, and the fish was to die for! I finished my meal off with “The Mud Dauber” made fresh by a local bakery. It went perfectly with my Chocolate Express Martini! What made the night extra special was Chef Ian personally coming out to make sure everything was perfect! We spent a few minutes chatting with him, as he was a very gracious host and an amazing chef!

Kudos to the entire culinary staff at Blue! I will be sure to return every time I find myself on Hilton Head!

This was at least our fifth visit to this hotel. It’s a little tired but the staff has always been friendly and the location is terrific. This trip was to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We landed a little late and were almost at the hotel when we received a call from the hotel telling us our room was no longer available. They got us a room at the holiday inn in Hardeevillle. This is a good 30-40 minutes outside Hilton Head. We were already well past the exit and had to backtrack over 20 minutes. Sounds like no big deal but when you are in an unfamiliar area and don’t see well at night, it was very stressful. They claimed there wasn’t a single room available on the island. The people at the Holiday Inn told us that this has become a regular occurrence. The following day I had to contact the Marriott several times to make sure we were able to get a room. For our inconvenience they paid for the night at the holiday Inn and gave us a $100 resort credit. When we did get a room the air conditioning fan was so loud we had to turn the tv way up. I’m afraid they haven’t kept up with necessary repairs and what used to be a little tired is now downright exhausted.

Dear Joymsmith,

Thank you for your loyalty to our hotel! We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback, and we are sorry our hotel was overbooked and unable to accommodate you your first night with us. We offer no excuses for this mix-up, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We understand the frustration. We also apologize for disappointing you with our air conditioning unit in your guest room. Our standards are high, not only in service, but also with maintaining the overall look and feel of our hotel, and we will gladly share your feedback with the appropriate individuals as we plan for the future. We do hope you will consider us again the next time you are in the area.
