On the last night of a vacation in Myrtle Beach a friend suggested we give this restaurant a try since neither of us are fans of overly breaded deep fried seafood.
As we both are out-of-towners all we could hope for was the best.
NOTHING could have prepared us for threat we were about to experience! Done up in soothing green, black and earth-tones it was apparent this was no local corner bistro. Our server was promptly standing at our table reciting that night's specials, leaving menus and wine lists on the table as she left to retrieve a breadbasket and dish of olive oil with freshly grated cheese and cracked pepper.
The menu read like a mouthwatering best-seller!
My companion ordered the flounder served over flaked lobster with pasta and capers and wonderful white-wine butter sauce.
I opted for the nightly special of crab cake over a marinated chicken breast served over cheese grits with a light tasso gravy. After sharing the firsts tastes of each others plates I was more than ready to send my meal back in exchange for a serving of my companions choice.
There are no words to describe the flavors and textures in that dish! My crab cake was outstanding, seasoned just-so and fried to a perfect golden brown but it could do little to compensate for the bland chicken filet it topped.
Our meal was completed by a slice of decadently rich chocolate whiskey pie a la mode.
This meal has me contemplating another 4 1/2 drive just to dine there again!

This small restaurant is fantastic. The Chef is very innovative. This is the best restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area and I have eaten at all of the top rated ones. It is in the small, scenic town of Conway-about 40 minutes from the beach. The duck and the spring rolls are my favorite. I have dined in many fine restaurants throughout the world and this one is right up there with the best.. Service is outstanding. There is also a very nice bar area where one can also order food. I recommend reservations for Friday and Saturday evenings, especially if there is a play at the Theater of the Republic which is on the next block(great local live theater).
