Rich in history, well worth the visit. Gardens are very beautiful, and the home and nature tour are well worth the history of one of the oldest man made attractions in the U.S.

The Magnolia Gardens is everything I envisioned a Southern Plantation grounds would look like, absolutely beautiful with all the Spanish Moss and garden areas looking fairy tale like. A "must-see" in Charleston. It is very near Drayton Hall so you can easily go to both.

Very disappointed, not sure but I was expecting to see gardens. This was a walk in the woods and nothing more. For $20 a person, it just wasn't worth it to me. They nickle and dime you for all the other sites here as well. The train was extra, a certain tour of the house was extra......

This place is magical! We did not even visit when the azaleas are in bloom and it was gorgeous. Many of the Spanish moss draped trees are hundreds of years old. The care of and pride in this land are evident.

Start your visit with a short film explaining the history of the property. The house tour is a must see. Our docent was not only engaging but incredibly knowledgeable. There wasn’t a question posed he couldn’t answer. The furnishings and artwork are lovely and such a glimpse into the past.

We were on a limited timetable and so did not partake in the swamp or slave your. I’m planning a return trip to Charleston specifically to see the rest of the property!
