“Not "RUSTIC" as described in there information.”

Beware...no wow factor during this stay. This vacation spot is not "rustic" as described. It is in DIRE need of renovations inside/outside and all around. The amenities are few. The grounds are bare. The roads need repair. There is no overnight staff/security. We booked 4 units through RCI. Our unit, a condo #1064 was close to amenity center. However, after an initial visit to the indoor pool, no one would go back...everyone said it had a sewer smell. Playground was wonderful...family enjoyed the pool table and volleyball. The unit had loose flooring, broken microwave door/handle. Cabinets that did not close. I did not feel comfortable walking barefoot on the carpet. Most screens had holes/rips/tears in them. This "resort" has lots of potential. The staff is friendly and responsive. The condo units (phase 3) are great for extended family stays. What happened to this POA? It's owners need to speak up and get this place looking good again. I am disappointed that RCI does not expect more. **My rating of average is based on our family fun together and the friendly staff.

“Disappointed family vacation rental”

It was my 3rd time at this resort with family vacation over the past 20 years. We have very fond memories about this place. On this recent visit, we found inside of the resort unit was updated partially but the outside has not been kept up. The resort is on a 90-acre lake, fishing is allow but there was only limited access to the lake. There were no walking paths lead to the lake front. Woods were covered with weeds, falling tree branches, dead leaves, trash. Boats were not readily available.
The maintenance manager was not friendly at all. He totally ignored my request to remove a big pile of animal droppings on our narrow walkway. He argued that we should take care it ourselves!
This was our LAST visit for this place!

“A run down cabin in the woods.”

Used this for a get together for a group of my friends and was very embarrassed as to the condition of this property and the amenities. Our unit had a sewage problem which vented fumes into the unit so it stunk. The unit itself looked like it was 30 years old with rotting exterior T-11 faded dark grey with a carpenter ant infestation eating away at the deck and exterior. Interior bathrooms had pealing wall paper and 20 year old fixtures. Kitchen was old, low end and also had a ant infestation. Beds were portable frames with 10 year old mattresses . I had booked a second week but cancelled and lost 50% of my fee as it was not worth going back to this slum.

**NOTE: we booked this rental for 2 nights. This listing is inaccurate as 2 nights is the minimum. Not 4.**
This place was awesome! Let me start by saying that yes, it is a little outdated. It does need some TLC, but if you’re a nature person who loves the outdoors and the woodsy feel, this is the place for you. It’s an entire house. We had a “phase 1” unit. It was a stand-alone, 3 BR 2 bath, full kitchen/dining room, living room with a fireplace, and a loft with the third BR. It could comfortably sleep a family of 5 or 6. It’s situated on a beautiful, unaltered natural lake with plenty of wildlife. It’s a bit secluded from civilization and a scary drive at night with the deer, but it’s worth it. The isolation helps bring in more wildlife!
When choosing a place to stay, we picked between the Bushkill Inn and Conference Center and this place and we chose Eagle Village. No regrets. We did, actually, end up having to stay the last night at Bushkill Inn because the proper staff wasn’t on Friday-Sunday. We ended up paying more at Bushkill Inn for much less space, amenities, and nature. I’d say this place is perfect for the nature buffs.
My only complaints are: 1) our sliding doors on the 2 balconies didn’t lock. That is scary considering the secludedness and bears in the area. 2) I was promised over the phone for a villa with a jacuzzi (some have them and other don’t) and we didn’t get one. The second we entered the villa, I called the front desk and they were unable to do anything about it. Understandable, but still. The jacuzzi was a deal breaker, and our villa didn’t have one as promised. All else made this choice worth it. We will stay here again in the future.

“Week at Eagle Village”

Check in went smoothly.
Unit was very clean.
Furnishings were dated but serviceable.
Every appliance we used worked.
Dishes and utensils were adequate.
The beds had no box spring so they were EXTREMELY firm.
It was only 2 of us so we stacked the twin matreses from the spare bed under the full in the master bed and slept well.
The fireplace was nice.
Rec center was clean and the pool was heated warm enough.
The grounds were not pristine but the local wildlife were fun to watch.
We had a nice relaxing vacation here.
