Nice way to spend a cold day. Something for everyone. Even my very young grandsons. When they get older I would love the see more of the shows.
The train display is huge and well done.

We recently visited for the first time and it was amazing! Added bonus was their military discount it was 50% off the day we went. The layout is great so even though it was really busy it didn't seem like it because there is so much room and things spread out. We added the laser show to our tickets and it was cool but lasted almost an hour. In my opinion that was too long. If you have little ones it may not keep their interest that long. It was pretty neat to wastch though my 9 y/o enjoyed it but was over it after the first 30 minutes. However, the rest of the museum was great. Definitely take the time to tour the submarine. It was AWESOME!! If you love history you will really enjoy it and even if you don't it is still a great thing to check out. I would definitely visit again.

As a family that frequently visits a science center near our home, we had high expectations for the Carnegie Science Center and it didn’t disappoint. We toured a real submarine, played a life-size version of Operation, saw an amazing model train exhibit and took in a laser light show featuring music from the Beatles in the planetarium. I even beat a robot at air hockey. Plan to spend plenty of time here. If you have a membership at another science center (like we did), you may be entitled to a reduced rate.

So much to do here, you almost need more than a day to do it all. Fun sports themed area with a lot of activities for kids to run off some steam. Submarine was really cool, not something you get to go into and explore every day. Train display had to be the highlight. HUGE and incredibly detailed. One of the best I've ever seen.
