very nice place.
we had our own "private room", with 8 people.
the service was very good. our server Scott was very professional, helpful, never had to wait for refills of water.
not that many choices on the menu.
the appetizers were good. the fried brussels a little too salty.
the MP ribeye was very good

As an avid foodie, I enjoy all food! Looking forward to going to Meat and Potatoes. We shared a couple of appetizers... Bread was okay, Risotto very good, but salty and the Fries were over the moon delicious!!! I ordered several sides and just shared a bit of my hubbys flat iron, which was tasty. I ordered the cauliflower with capers, very good!!! Mushroom Ragu overly salted and the Collards were not good. Too salty and sweet. I am from the south and they needed to be chopped. The service was EXCELLENT! If you can handle salt definitely go!

We are enjoying a nice meal before the theater and this week we chose Meat and Potatoes.
We were seated right away and then greeted by our server. If I was to rate the service, it was a 5. Very pleasant staff and very prompt.
We started with the mushroom risotto which was good just a tad bit salty, some “fried tater” that were really good tasting French fries with chives and a good amount of garlic. They were cooked crispy and were not greasy.
We ordered the Wagyu Flat Iron steak with potato cake, grilled broccoli with a sweet potato purée. The steak was served with a large dollop of bacon jam.
The meat was cooked perfectly and the sides were very good just slightly over salted.

The name says it all Meat and Potatoes. What better way to define a delicious meal everytime.
Seating is tight and crowded that would be my only complaint. Food and drink is very worth the closeness.

While visiting Pittsburgh for the first time, we decided to try Meat & Potatoes, since we had seen it on the Travel Channel. We sat at the bar and immediately welcomed by the barback, who introduced us to the three bartenders, who would be taking care of us. We had already previewed the menu online, so we knew what we were going to try. We ordered a Manhattan Perfect and an Appletini. They kindly told me that they didn't have the fresh apple for the appletini, since they muddle it, so instead I ordered an GG Cosmo. Both drinks were made perfect and very tasty! In fact, it was the best Manhattan that my fiance has ever had! We then ordered the fried chicken livers, the bone marrow, and the wild mushroom risotto. The bone marrow was outstanding, but the risotto had pockets of it that were very salty, and the chicken livers were too spicy and overcooked. When we told the bartender, he immediately took the chicken livers back to the kitchen, and off our tab. Overall, we were very happy that we came to try it- the drinks and the marrow were the stars! Give it a try! You'll love the place!
