“Awesome location, but...”

As another reviewer commented, the location is awesome, in the heart of town. That's both the good news (restaurants and shopping steps away from the house) AND the bad news, as there is street noise from revellers until late at night, and from delivery trucks early in the morning. The house is OLD which is somewhat charming, but when we checked in (late July) it was very musty. Most of the windows don't open, and there are no door or window screens, so airing the house out was challenging. It does have air conditioning, though, which is a definite plus in summer. The kitchen is tiny, but with ample great restaurants nearby this did not prove a problem. There is only one full bath with a tiny shower, so be forewarned if that's a deal breaker. Stairs are narrow and require care to climb, definitely not appropriate for anyone with ambulatory issues. Also would not recommend for families with young children. Overall we were pleased with this rental because the location is so convenient to shops, food and entertainment venues. Free wi-fi & ease of contact with owner were additional pluses.

“Really Cool Experience”
Reviewed 15 December 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Neat old house, right in the heart of everything. Walk to shopping, restaurants, entertainment. The Buck's County Playhouse is across the street and is just a short walk over the bridge and through their parking lot There was a great show we went to while we were there.
If there was a downside, it has to be parking. Make sure you bring only one car as there is no on site parking and off site parking is scarce and expensive. We had one parking pass that came with our stay for a parking lot a couple of blocks down the street. The good thing is that you don't really need a car once you are there.
I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend the experience.

Liked best: The neat old house and easy walking to everything. Buck's County Playhouse is right across the street.
Liked least: Low door ways. At 6'4" I kept banging my head on the doorways, but I realize that back when the house was built people were shorter.
