What a discovery to find the home of this world famous artist in Lancaster. The collection is small and, of course, you shouldn't expect to see Demuth's most famous paintings here--the museum is tiny, with a budget to match, I expect. But if, like me, you would be thrilled to see the artist's studio & palette, the family business next store (Demuth Tobacco is still in business), discover excellent examples of his work you've not seen before, and want to get an idea of his life in Lancaster, then this is a gem of a museum will not disappoint. Lancaster can be very proud of her native son, and the vision it took to preserve and maintain this important site. Free, but please make a donation to support them.
