The Driftwood Spars is a genuine old stone and beamed Cornish pub with en-suite B&B rooms and top quality restaurant.
You can see Trevaunance cove from the top garden, Restaurant and the bench seating out the front,
Wonderful views, great selection of beers and good food.

What more could one want for in a PROPPER Cornish pub

Not been there for years but a friend brews his own beer there so I thought I'd try it out. I wasn't disappointed. The bar hadn't changed, the beer was very good, the staff were friendly and enthusiastic and the roast dinner in the restaurant (which overlooks the sea and cliffs) was very good. I'm glad I went back. Hullo to brewer Fluffy Pete!

My wife and I have had a 3 night stay. Room 6 has a wonderful seaview and was very tastefully decorated. Lovely comfortable bed, good tea & coffee facilities and a shower that worked well. Considering the age of the property, this room could not be better. The included breakfast is very good with a selection of fruits, cereals, yoghurts and the awesome full cornish. The bar Has a great selection of local products. We found the bar very welcoming to both locals and visitors alike. And dogs are very welcome. The food was good, and I would say good pub grub and worth the money.

Room tip: Room 6 - Loeley Sea View

location location location..10/10.
not sure about everything else.
start with the Customers Only CarPark.. which is pay&display. then, when you psrk and pay and cross the road to the pub, turns out you dont have to pay, you just give them your Reg No. I mentioned it would be nice if that was explained at the point where you put your money in. The very pleasant barman told me 'everyone says that!'
The barfood is way overpriced. £8 for a chicken and brie roll...?? then add £1.50 for chips?
But I ordered, cos we'd already paid to be in their carpark, and found a table and I figured hey, must be a bit special.
But it was,....if Im kind... aiming towards a low average.
But the view is lovely, the toilets were good and it was a sunny day. But I wouldn't do it again.

After 17 miles to arrive here we were pre booked, our rooms were fab, luggage had arrived by transfer company and reception staff waiting our arrival, cheery professional really friendly , fresh milk for beverages in a little cool I g flask such a nice touch, although this is a really busy place for food booked us in for an evening meal , up to rooms, well wow, super modern , I asked for a full bath as my hip needed a soak, lovely fantastic rooms, bright, super clean , beautiful rooms very comfy bed, flat screen tv, hot beverages super fluffy large towels , crisp 300 thread white linen absolutely lovely.
Then to bar and dinner, I'm a bit of a techno misfit, a lovely young man in the bar staff helped me with the WiFi and browser to get online and networks, and another super guy helped my knees with a lovely Cornish gin and elderflower tonic !
3 course meal for £ 22, out of this world , after 17 miles we needed refuelling, the staff in the bar took our full order with coffee put it all through in seconds so well organised, super super staff here,
Meal was superbly scrummy , wowed
To say the least, amazing place
Very very highly recommend for a drink, meals, overnight stay
Well done you guys simply the best xxx
