We stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect for our needs. It was at the edge of a lake, a lovely setting and the holiday let itself was ideal, very smart and clean, surprisingly spacious and has all the necessities you could need. The owner, Beverley was very helpful but immediately let you get on with your holiday and also left scones and clotted cream out for us which was a lovely arrival treat. Would definitely stay here again :-)

Our third visit to Woodpark Stables but the first with new owners Beverley and Andrew. We were given the most wonderful welcome and shown into the cottage which was spotlessly clean. Flowers adorned the table and there was a cream tea waiting in the fridge. The river view remains a huge bonus and the area is brimmed with places to visit without the fuss of too many people or holiday traffic. Walking is definitely the way to really taste what this beautiful area has to offer and although the weather was mixed, the facilities ensure constant hot water, a washing machine and tumble drier which are a huge bonus after walking in the rain! It is so lovely, we are booked again for 2014 and cannot recommend this holiday hideaway more highly.

Stunning location and easy to find, this property has every amenity you could wish for and more. The cream tea welcome on arrival is very welcome with tea, coffee and milk there for you too, cant be beaten.

To lie in bed in the morning and watch the wildlife on the river right outside the window is an amazing treat and Looe and Polperro not too far a drive away makes for a perfect mini break.

Would 100% recommend.

My fianceé and I visited Woodpark Stables for the second time in September 2013 - this time for a week instead of four nights. Terry and Mary were once again very welcoming, and the cream tea on arrival was lovely after a five-hour car journey from the East Midlands.

The stables really are a little home away from home, with all the necessities in place for a relaxing and comfortable break. Millbrook is an interesting little village with some very pleasant walks and scenery. We were were well-located to explore the beautiful Kingsand and Cawsand, only a couple of minutes away by car.

We had a fantastic day in Plymouth - we highly recommend the Creymll Ferry, followed by a second ferry trip from the Royal William Yard Harbour to the Barbican, taking you to the heart of historic Plymouth.

The Rame Peninsula is a real hidden gem in Cornwall, and Woodpark Stables remains perfect for a quiet, comfortable break.
