After spending many years travelling europe we decided this year would be spent travelliing Cornwall, so after spending a thoroughly relaxing week in Mevagissey last July we decided that an autumn break was needed... We spotted Seafairers Watch on trip advisor and after reading all the positive reviews we decided this would be THE place to stay and all i can say is WOW it certainly does live up to its reputation, from the moment we drove towards the property we knew we were in for a treat. The owners had very kindly left not only a bunch of fresh Roses but also a lovely Cornish Cream Tea which after a long 6 hour journey from Leicestershire was very welcome indeed.
The property itself is in an ideal location with its own parking space, close to all the pubs, restaurants and shops but more importantly stunning views of the harbour looking out towards the Lighhouse and beyond.
The cottage was immaculately presented, and equipped with everything you need along with quality appliances, fixtures and fittings to make your stay as comfortable as possible which for a rental property is a rarity.
All in all i can honestly say that we had a fantastic week and will certainly be booking Seafairers Watch for many years to come. Many Thanks

“This is "THE" place to stay to see Cornwall.”

We have stayed in Cornwall for many years now but have never stayed in a Cottage before. The attention to detail was wonderful and within minutes we felt right at home. An unexpected and very pleasant surprise was a Cornish cream tea in a beautiful wicker basket on the kitchen counter and fresh milk for that all important first cuppa after a long journey. There were fresh flowers on the table and the visitor information book was an especially valuable guide to Mevagissey and the cottage itself. The games system in the cottage as we took our teenage Son with us, was a really great idea and the whole cottage was even better than it looked on the website (and it looked amazing on the website to begin with) so we really recommend this cottage. We visited the Lost Gardens of Heligan and would love to go and visit again in a different season just to see how it changes. In Mevagissey we ate out at several restaurants that were all wonderful. The Harbour pub has a wonderful "local" atmosphere and great food at great prices. The Sharksfin restaurant serves a gorgeous Sunday lunch while watching the activities in the harbour and the Salamander Restaurant is lovely for a more refined evenings dining with two or three course meals using local produce. All in all a wonderful week despite two very foggy days and a delightful cottage to stay in. Thanks.

“Lovely comfy cottage with handy parking, pleasant views of Mevagissey harbour.”

This is a lovely cottage, with really nice quality furniture and equipment, way better than average.A dedicated parking space, and nice views of the harbour to the front and fields to the rear. About 3mins drive into Mevagissey, and The fantastic Lost Gardens of Heligan and Lobbs Farm shop are about 10 mins away.

Our favorite restaurant in Mevagissey was Sharksfin. The bbq prawns are amazing, the main meals are huge, we thought it great value and lots of people eating were telling the staff how much they enjoyed their food, we cant wait to go back!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage or the area.

My husband, 3 month old baby and I stayed for a week at Seafarers Watch and had a great time. The cottage has everything you could need or want in a holiday rental.

There was a complimentary cream tea waiting in the fridge for us which was a lovely start to the holiday. The cottage is well equipped and had everything we needed. The reclining lounge suite was suuuuper comfy and the bedding was lovely.

There was a travel cot for our baby and it was in very good condition and there was also a baby bath too.

It also has own car parking space which is a huge bonus on those narrow streets. It's a short walk downhill into the village.

The owner was very helpful when we called with a query.

“Very comfortable cottage in perfect location with wonderful views”

Cosy, comfortable cottage, clean, with the best equipped kitchen we have come across in a rented property. Comfy bed and excellent shower. Thoughtful touches - cream tea on arrival, flowers on table, even an umbrella and torch. The views were outstanding and the weather was perfect. Superb location for coastal walking - we used car, local buses and taxi and even the Fowey ferry to complete that stretch of the coastal path. Excellent fish and chips at the Fountain Inn and well stocked fruit & veg shop in Mevagissey which also stocked lots of other local goodies. Highly recommend!
