We had a wonderful week in Kingsand. Spindrift was perfect for our 2 family groups, and the owners were very helpful in recommending a b & b for my parents to stay in right across the road. The house was extremely well stocked, which lots of lovely extra touches, it was cosy, comfortable and in a beautiful location. It soon felt like a home from home. We were lucky to have wonderful weather and could make the most of the sunny terrace and beach. Fantastic walking and running routes right on the doorstep. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
We've been holidaying in Cornwall for a number of years and have stayed in some lovely places, but nothing compares to Spindrift. With well-appointed bedrooms offering fabulous sea views and a garden door on to the beach, it's sensational. We'll definitely be back! The location was great, close to a shop and lovely pubs.
We also loved the small touches, like the Nespresso machine with a good selection of pods.
We had a very restful week at gorgeous Spindrift in Kingsand, Cornwall. It is a lovely, old, characterful house which has been decorated so tastefully. Our room had a comfortable super king bed, so we slept very well! The children were very excited by their cute bunkbed room. Sitting on the sun-trap balcony looking at the beautiful ocean was perfection. We were in a large group but there was still plenty of space for all of us in this house with everything we could need to cook meals for everyone.
Access to a small, quiet, beach through the boathouse in the garden was amazing, especially if you have children. Then you can have a hot shower in the shower room to wash the sand off. Everything has been thought of at this property.
Parking in a large car park near the house was brilliant. We just walked to the nearby pubs (the food was great) and shops within minutes. We could take the car and explore the local area in Cornwall and know we would always get parked close to Spindrift when we returned.
We visited at the beginning of Nov. We have stayed in Kingsand regularly for a number of years now and this is by far the best place that we have stayed in. The decor is tasteful and furnishings are really good quality. As we were staying during the cold months, we wanted somewhere with central heating, comfortable living room, clean, modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. Quite an ask when renting some places. The owners clearly want Spindrift to be as comfortable and stylish as possible and they have definitely achieved this; from the SMEG fridge, to Nespresso coffee maker (with capsules - thank you!), this place had it all.
There is plenty of room for everyone, we were a group of 5 and had so much space it was a really nice holiday experience. No-one was on top of each other and all the rooms are so nice that you weren't all just congregating in the one area all the time.
The sofas were large and really comfy, we all fell asleep on them at some point during the week. The TV had full Sky and the wifi was really good.
The kitchen was spacious and equipment was top of the range - thank you for the non stick pans!
The beds were huge and we had a great nights sleep every night. The view from the master bedroom is incredible.
The access to the beach is such a bonus and when the tide is in, it's so lovely to have your own space. We had some amazing weather and swam in the sea (in November!). Having your cup of tea on the beach was wonderful. The boys also had good fun with the table tennis.
My friends declared that they wished it was their house and are already planning their next trip. We're planning on another trip with my parents!
Obviously Kingsand is such a lovely village; it was our friends first visit and they loved the fact the pub was walking distance so there were no designated drivers.
Finally, a massive thank you to the owners who organised for the added extras which we weren't expecting at all - it's such a lovely welcoming gesture. We can't wait to be back!

This beautifully renovated cottage situated in the heart of Kingsands village has everything you could possibly desire to make you feel at home. The view from the master bedroom of the bay is breathtaking. We witnessed glorious sunsets and watched the ships move slowly across the horizon. The mild Autumn weather meant we were able to enjoy the same view relaxing on the terrace with our newspapers and a bottle of fizz.
We rented for the week and found a good rhythm, starting the day with a coffee and pastry from the old bakery cafe a few doors up from Spindrift. We tried three of the pubs in the village for dinner and lunches. All were good.
There was time for walking on the coastal paths and also hanging out at the house. We spent an afternoon playing table tennis in the boat house and on the last day plucked up the courage to go for a dip in the sea from the little beach at the side of the boat house.... Bracing!
We had a wonderful holiday here and can't wait to return. The house is perfect for couples and larger families with children. Everything in the house is of a high quality from the bathrooms to the kitchen.
We will be back!
