“As good as abroad...although access a little tricky ”

This beach lies beyond some very large sand dunes, which whilst fun to climb down, was trickier getting back up! There was a sandy coastal path making it slightly easier but access isn’t easy. Once over these the view was breath taking, blue sea and white sand, the beach is vast!! This is equally as good as any beach I’ve seen abroad. Dogs were also allowed on when we were there in May Highlight for me was visiting at sunset...

A long stretch of beautiful sandy beaches, not to be missed. Some areas are dog friendly, some are not, but it's not particularly well sign posted. We asked the lifeguards who were happy to pint us in the right direction.

Grew up here so im bias , but if you want peace and plenty of space for the kids to run round , get down here, lovely shallow water for kids to muck about in , 3 miles of beautiful golden sand , no facilities down the bottom end by hayle river so plan ahead !! Great walks amongst the sand dunes

Avoid Sandy Acres parking at all cost! Very steep path. No steps, nothing. Just sand dunes. Very difficult to get to parking from beach. No warnings or something to tell you to add extra time to get to parking. Was late ten minutes to my car and get £100 ticket! It’s with pregnant wife and 2 years old boy. Didn’t want to listen to explain. Nothing. Heartless men.

3 miles of golden sands but to access it you do have to be fit as the dunes are steep and stepways few and far between
