Visited the museum today and loved it from the start, especially seeing as we received a salute driving in!

There was so much to see, a real labour of love by the owners. We felt very welcome and found all of the exhibits great - especially the personable narration.

Would definitely recommend. Thank you Steve and Sheila for welcoming us!

Not generally advertised but our hotel had a flier so we visited when our legs had been worn out by other Cornish attractions that all seem to include steep hills. What a pleasant surprise, the museum is a treasure trove of interesting artifacts, information and buildings that combine to make a really good day out. The owners enthusiasm was infectious and we will certainly visit again the next time we are in Cornwall.

Having briefly lived in Davidstow I only had a sketchy knowledge of the airfields use.I knew it was a USAF base during WW2. I knew it had hosted early Grand Prixs but my eyes were well and truly opened by the wealth of exhibits and associated stories of Cornwall at war. Make sure you buy the £5 guide book which is fascinating. Congatulations to everyone involved !

We are very pleased that you enjoyed your visit AND bought the book!!! The book is a fascinating history of RAF Davidstow Moor and of the Cornwall at War Museum. I am impartial when I say it is excellent value at a mere fiver?!?!?!?!

We are down in Cornwall again this year and first point of call...this museum! The introductory film is still an eye opener to the drive, determination and ability of Steve and Sheila. They are dynamos! Again there is so much to see ( even on an incredibly foggy moist day!) ,that you can easily take three hours getting the full benefit.
And this time ,I had longer to chat to Steve who talks even more than I do!! What a bloke to talk to .....a multitude of subjects ,each one interesting.
Thanks both and we enjoyed the cheese.
