Lovely views from this flat. Clean and modern. Need to be fit as quite a few stairs to climb but well worth it. The owners are lovely very accommodating. Would stay again and recommend to others. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Just back from a fantastic week in Flat 6. Had read all the reviews but still had a question about carparking, so contacted the owner, Pat. Had a reply almost instantly that she would give me a resident permit, so I booked, which was easy and straight forward too. So much great stuff has been said about the accommodation in previous reviews so it's hard to add to it... amazingly light and airy with lovely views of the seafront (and rooftops). Quiet and peaceful, newly refurbished, like a proper home from home. Nothing was too much trouble for Pat but the layout of the property means you have total privacy and security to come and go to your flat as you wish. Always felt like a peaceful place to return to even though it's so close to everything, with the beach and seafront literally on the doorstep. Lovely just sitting and watching the boats coming and going on the sea. After the first time, the stairs are fine... They must burn off enough calories for an ice cream surely?! :) Had never been to Bridlington before but it's had a fair amount of money spent on it in recent years with a new leisure centre, flat paved promenade that goes on for miles (railings constantly being painted and kept looking nice while I was there), loads of seating, cafes, fish and chip shops and toilets. Nice working harbour, lots of shops to explore, sandy beaches... I walked miles and miles but there is a land train that travels from right up at Sewerby Hall to the South Promenade if you get weary. Bus station is a 5 minute walk away too so I left the car and got the bus into Scarborough and Filey (£8.50 for an all day coastal ticket). (Actually preferred Bridlington to either of these). Convenience store, fish and chips, takeaway and shopping centre all within 5 minutes, bigger supermarket was about 10-15 min walk if you cut through the side streets. So in short... excellent accommodation in an excellent location, with excellent weather (can't guaranteed that though!). Thank you for a lovely holiday :)
