“Enjoyable stay”
Reviewed 1 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We booked this property as we were going to a wedding in the nearby Wentworth Castle. We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is neat and clean, the kitchen has sufficient supplies, there is a flat screen television and wifi. The bathroom was very tidy. The only downside is the shower that could use a new shower head. The host was very friendly and helpful upon arrival and told us about things to see and visit in the area. He recommended the National Mining Museum which we visited and definitely recommend to other visitors. The location of this property is also ideal, 10 min away from the M1.

“Peace and quiet and spotlessly clean. Perfect for us.”
Reviewed 11 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We were looking for a few days away to relax and enjoy the countryside and the apartment at Viewpoint was just what we needed. Everything was very clean and the double bed was excellent
Fresh bread and cakes from the village bakery only a 5 minute walk away and lovely pub meals. Ray also gave us the names of local restaurants and we can fully recommend the Bell in Silkstone just a 5 minute drive away.
We walked miles right from the doorstep and managed a longer walk 5 miles away across the moors at Langsett reservoir.
We will definitely be spending more time here.
Thank you Ray and Sue.

“Great weekend get away!”
Reviewed 2 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

A spotlessly clean and tranquil holiday let within walking distance of the trans pennine trail so ideal for us as we love walking. Close to the M1 but set in a peaceful location. Great hosts, they couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect.

“Comfortable base for exploring region.”
Reviewed 18 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Good beds, comfortable lounge, great wifi, off street parking and friendly host. This garage loft accommodation is located in Silkstone Common, a short walk to the trailways in Nabs Wood, and the monument to the 1838 mining disaster where 26 children drowned. Short walk to the Railway Hotel for a hearty meal. Fully self contained for self catering. We were easily able to drive/ explore the region. Enjoy the warm sun streaming through the roof windows.
