A good venue to visit in and out of season, only open weekends in the winter. If you like history and antique shops this is the place for you. The cafe is lovely with a good wholesome menu, only issue is the size if you drop on a busy day you struggle to get a table.
If you go on line from October you can book on the Santa Special which is a lot of fun for young and old

This is an interesting place to visit, full of history. It used to be an old coal mining area. There are a few interesting shops, including a shop with big jars of old fashioned sweets, a great place to buy antiques and furniture. We started with a coffee in The Brambles Cafe and finished with lunch in The Pantry. Great place to visit.

Even out of season with some attractions open only at weekends this is a very interesting place to visit, lots to see ad do. We strolled round the site but spent most of our time in the antique centre, we even purchased some antiques. We will visit again in the season so we can fully appreciate the site.

For anyone interested in industrial heritage, this place is a must. It has improved significantly since it first opened in the 90s and it has now become a well used attraction. There is something for everyone including a good cafe.

Really interesting place, lots to do, and a good cafe. Had a long stroll around the antique and curio stores, and there was a display of rare/vintage cars.
