eaten at brewers fayres before and always enjoyed the experience. chose clayton green for our 4 yr old grandson, so he could play in the kids play area, which was a reasonable£3 for 90 minutes.
arrived at restaurant at 6pm on a tuesday eve and fact that there were more staff than customers should have been a warning.
husband ordered haddock fish cakes, when the waiter brought the meal he warned that the plate was very hot, which given that the dish came with salad was odd. hot salad aside, the poached egg on top of the fish cake was hard boiled and nothing like the illustrations in the menu.
i ordered a chicken burrito which was pretty naff, quarter of the plate was hot chillies, salad was 80% thick red onions, didn't find the soar cream.
Kids meal of hot dog was eaten & giant yorkshire with sausage was eaten without any complaints.
Staff were all friendly and helpful, but think they were just glad to have customers.
Sadly the visit did inspire us to return anytime soon.
