My husband and I traveled to Costa Dulce after reading an article about it in an online blog this spring. The glowing reviews are spot on. We wish we had stayed for a full month while they still offered their residency program, however a week was all we could manage. It was like going to summer camp, in all the best ways. We were there in May and it was beastly hot, but the gorgeous infinity pool is the perfect place to spend the hottest part of the afternoon. The massage shelter is a close second. The yoga teacher team was transitioning while we were there, so we got to experience multiple styles and teachers, and all of the classes we took were wonderful. The surf lessons were a first for us and were a lot of fun. The waves were too big on the beach out front while we were there so they took us to a beach about 30 minutes down the coast which was a fun way to see a bit more of Nicaragua too. We rented a sailboat the last night we were there, which was such a relaxing way to see our last Nicaraguan sunset. We are still missing the food. It was absolutely wonderful. Not having to think about when or what to eat was bliss.
We flew in and out of Liberia, which is only about a 2 hour drive away, but crossing the border on foot is a unique experience. The rules are changing constantly about entry and testing requirements, we kept up to date on a Facebook page recommended by CD, we had one hiccup coming back over the border and their driver save the day. I would definitely recommend letting CD arrange your transfers, they made everything like that very easy so that all we had to do was relax!

Room tip: Il Pelicano has an amazing view!

I’ve literally lived in hotels and hostels and bnbs for the past 15 years. In that time I’ve probably visited over 80 countries, and over a dozen eco/yoga type resorts. And I can easily say Costa Dulce is the most perfect. If Lothlorien and the Ewok Village had a baby on that beach where Morgan Freeman goes after he finally got out of Shawshank - it would be Costa Dulce. So be happy, you no longer need to think about it, Costa Dulce isn’t just the best place for your money, it’s the best place, period.

I spent a fabulous time in Costadulce, a magical place outside of time.
Everything's was perfect and beyond my expectations (very high )
Wild beach, lovely, flexible and very professional staff team, amazing food (healthy, organic, local...), super easy to plan outdoors activity and arrange private transportation, great spot for surfing, great yoga teachers. I hope this place will remain as special as it is for long years. I will come back for sure !

My son and I spent a month at Costa Dulce. It was a great opportunity since he has online school currently and I can work from anywhere with good internet. The hotel is a series of bungalows spread out across the hillside and each offers privacy and a view of the ocean and jungle. The vibe was laid back, with daily yoga, meditation, surfing, beach walking or just chilling in the hammock. The food is all freshly made with any option you want i.e,. vegan, etc., and prepared by locals, one of whom is a pastry chef. The desserts were yummy! Meals are served at a group table on the deck by the cocina, and the people we met during our stay become friends, which was really nice. It did not feel like a hotel as much as it did a community. We each had a weekly spa treatment as part of our package. We had pedicures, massages, my son got a body scrub, and the therapists were locals who were knowledgeable and good at their craft. The owner, Tyson and his team are working to achieve sustainability through all solar power, using all locally sourced foods, and they have built a itchen/ testing facility where they are working with the local community to develop healthy foods used in the hotel, as well as producing their own soap, cleaning sprays, etc. If you are looking for a chill place to be who you want to be , work/ relax and learn more about yoga and medidation than you ever thought you would (Katja and Paul are wonderful people and excellent and knowledgeable yoga/ bodywork teachers and yogis). you might want to check this place out.

Take in the sea breeze 24/7 in your own private, screened in cabin, equipped with several ceiling fans for added circulation. Get one with a nice sized deck outfitted with a hammock and outdoor seating to take in the sunrise. Or take your coffee down to the outdoor lounge Casa Ola for stunning ocean views or to indulge in a good read.

Then wake up your mind, body and soul with twice daily yoga classes in one of the two beautiful outdoor shalas. Beautifully paced classes for all levels by incredibly knowledgeable teachers Katja and Paul, with a variety of styles to keep it flowing.

Later enjoy outdoor dining with an international array of farm to table dishes, lovingly prepared by the talented kitchen staff to suit your dietary preferences. There are options for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike.

Then head down to the newly restored pool and deck area or the beautiful secluded beach. Enjoy lounge chairs in the sun or the shade and stop at the little beach bar for a beverage or a homemade snack.

Alternately take a hike on the grounds or have Juner take you on an expertly guided and fun tour.

Afterwards be sure to schedule in some soothing spa treatments on site. You will not be disappointed.

Everyone will treat you like part of the big happy family that makes Costa Dulce such a very special place! A perfect secluded getaway to accommodate anyone looking to get away from it all.
