Its average. Staff has a very high turnover. You won't have the same waitress twice. LOL. I do like the bruschetta and the nacho special they have. Bartenders ( Mindy and Robin )
are kinda miserable and rude. I try to get Cat or someone else if we sit at the bar. Needs an upgrade inside.

Went to Grotto for a family pizza party and it was very disappointing. Pizza dough is like thin cardboard, too much dried out sauce and not enough cheese. Ordered one pie with onions and you almost can't find them. Very skimpy on toppings. Quality has dropped off big time. Nothing tastes good, even entre meals taste like they are fresh out of a can. Not sure I will ever go back. Just because it says Grotto doesn't mean it still good pizza.

Small regional chain with handful of restaurants. Pizzas are generally average with unimaginative sauces. Stick with pizza if you go - other menu choices are weak.... onion rings so greasy needed multiple napkins to dab grease off. A Philly cheesesteak sandwich that would never be recognized or served in Philly area. Prices are average for the area and they do offer coupons! Staff consists primarily of younger individuals with little or no hospitality training. We were a family party of 24 and you would think that a manager might have visited table to inquire about service, etc. Evidently they were waiting for that party of 30!! Never saw or heard from management.

The Grotto used to be one of my favorites. Pizza is still decent, but not as good as the original. Wings are good ,like grand slam sauce.Nice deck in the summer months, prices are a little above average for the area.

Understand that the Scranton Wilkes-Barre area is known for its pizza and if you want a good New York pie, The Grotto is the place to go.

There are plenty of topping choices. Ask them to cook the pie well and you will get a decently crispy and thin crust.

As for the wings, ask them not to cook them so well and you will get nice, juicy wings
