We stayed at the resort during Labor Day weekend, attending a special event. We chose this place mainly because it is pet friendly but also motivated by the many wonderful reviews.I will start with the positives:
Beautiful property with a creek running through it, fishing in the nearby pond a plus.
Staff very friendly and willing to help.
Pet friendly
Negatives: we stayed in the Brook cabin which accommodated the 6 of us and was one of the pet allowed cabin. The lack of thorough cleaning during the pandemic was a huge disappointment as was the lack of cleaning products in the cabin(we were encouraged to go to the front desk and ask for them).
The Brook cabin advertises as accommodating 10 but even for the 6 of us it was uncomfortable. The “loft” is a small area perched above the living room, hard to get to on a straight ladder and obviously noisy. The two small bedrooms have room for beds only with no other furniture, hooks for clothes, etc in sight. The only closet in the whole cabin was in the 3rd bedroom which had a bathroom as well ( master bdrm?)
The kitchen had way too few supplies .
All this would have been accepted if it weren’t for the $750per day charge and the ongoing construction on the property which cancelled our dream of a peaceful vacation( banging from 8AM till 6-7 PM including Sunday!!)
Property has a lot of potential but under proper mgt. Meanwhile you might want to check the nearby Skytop lodge resort which for the same price if not less has a lot more to offer.

We love coming to Magnolia as we always know that the hospitality, atmosphere, experience- everything will be top notch! Would highly recommend this fantastic gateaway. You will not only get full energy of nature but also meet truly kind and thoughtful hosts. One challenge- you never want to leave from there!

Just came back for our annual visit back to Magnolia Streamside Resort. What a gem! Always the best memories. Customer service, location, stream, private cottages, pond, finishing, chickens. New additions such as bar and pavilion added such a charm to the resort. Can’t wait to be back again!

A perfect getaway spot! also makes for the most beautiful events & retreats. Private, serene, tranquil...meditate on the private deck, take a walk on the trails. A great combo of rustic & chic! Will be back!

Can’t think of anything to complain about. The property is pristine and the staff was fantastic and very accommodating. We enjoyed the lake and the pool and even got to play with local chickens. They were doing construction at the time, about which we were warned by the owners prior to our arrival. But they were finishing that up in September. Overall, very satisfied.
