“Cozy and Delightful”

This was our second stay at the PDX Eco Cottage and we again enjoyed the cozy yet contemporary feel of the cottage. Everything you need is right at your fingertips, including a washer and dryer, plus a well stocked kitchen and comfy living room area. The cottage is also within walking distance of restaurants and shops on Division Street, including New Seasons Market. In fact, the neighborhood is perfect for walking and exploring, with charming houses, big old trees, and sidewalks. We love staying at the cottage when we visit Portland because it's close to downtown yet in a peaceful and historic part of town. We will definitely return again and again.

“A midcentury gem in a great Portland location”

Stayed here in October 2013 and only just getting around to reviewing it now. Better late than never. We were so excited when we stumbled across this great little self-contained cottage online. It had all the elements we wanted - midcentury styling, beautiful and comfortable furnishings, well equipped kitchen, lovely linens, light filled space and a super host, Susan. It was very comfortable for our family of three. Susan was really helpful and gave us the privacy we wanted but also was there to answer any questions we had and to offer local advice. The cottage is located in a lovely quiet area of Portland that is very close to great shopping and great restaurants. We really loved coming home to our cosy little cottage after a day of sightseeing.

“Well done, lovely little cottage in a beautiful neighborhood”
Reviewed 8 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The highlight of our vacation was staying in the PDX Eco Cottage. Though Portland wasn't our favorite place in the world, we loved sitting out on the little patio, listening to music, drinking wine, and enjoying the breezy, warm weather. Susan is very welcoming and accommodating to any need, though we really didn't need anything. The cottage has everything one could need to a pleasant stay including the local grocery savings card. :-)

Liked best: Everything about the cottage
Liked least: Portland - I think we just had very high expectations from all of our friends and were disappointed with the dirtiness of the city.

“An Modern Cottage in an Amazing Location”
Reviewed 5 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

My wife and I just stayed for a long weekend here at the PDX Eco Cottage. This was a very well appointed, modern, and very cool looking place. It was obvious that the owner, Susan, has put a lot of thought and planning into the location. Susan was very kind and helpful upon check in with showing us the ins and outs of the cottage, and even asked if there was anything we needed prior to our arrival such as coffee, tea, milk, etc. She had many recommendations of things to do in the area and made herself available for anything we needed throughout our stay. The cottage was very clean and pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. The location cannot be beat - directly across the street is a beautiful rose garden, and it is right in the heart of southeast Portland, with all the best bars, shopping and dining of Hawthorne and Division street. Anything you could want was in easy walking distance. Booking the cottage could not have been easier - Susan responded to my inquiry within hours, and always promptly responded to any questions I had in the lead up to our arrival. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay here - I could not tell you of any flaws!
