We brought our own picnic lunch and enjoyed wandering around the roses. It's a wonderful place-and so wonderful that it's free for all to enjoy. Parking is crazy so get here before 10:00

Our visit here was so great. What better than to stop and smell the roses? Perfect for an afternoon stroll on a sunny day.

This is a free thing to do in Portland so that's nice. It is a massive garden and so beautiful. We loved it.

Our bus tour allowed us 20 minutes in the gardens. They were so lovely and the blue skies and moderate temps were enhanced by the slight breeze. Each rose was ablaze in its vibrant color. The gift shop there had a lot of special temptations for you to purchase. Don't miss it!

Took bus then lightrail from south east portland to zoo- then free suttle will pick you up - you can get kff at a variety of places but we went to rose gardens- the variety of rose were incredible - it was fathers day so a lot of people but place is so big no trouble wandering around. Then we took one of the hiking trails back an that hooked up to the arboretum an got to see a variety of plants an trees an a great view of Mt.St. Helens. They have fun gift shop also as does the rose gardens . We spent most of the morning there an really enjoyed the hike which is pretty easy- be sure an take a hat an water. We hiked easily back to the zoo an caught the lightrail back to down town an bus back home - we got day passess that covered both an the gardens an arboretum were free
